Firefox default search engine changes when sandboxed
I changed my Firefox default search engine to Startpage, and used the search add-in to save my preferences without cookies. Non-sandboxed it works as expected, but sandboxed the default search engine reverts to Google every time? I have cleared all sandboxes and restarted my pc; tried a newly create...

Re: Unable to install programs in Sandbox
Sorry, I thought you had my ini file already. If you don't see the same problem then it must be local, and I'll have to try uninstalling AVG etc etc, but of course I had tried with a vanilla ini file per my first post.
Que sera.

Re: Unable to install programs in Sandbox
Sorry for the delay in replying, but my PC has been playing up. Programs to test: An easy program to get to try is Bowpad64 (http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/bowpad_64_bit.html). Assuming it fails, msiexec.exe cannot be terminated in the sandbox or via Task Manager. Very odd. Skype Desktop v7...

Re: Firefox Direct Bookmark Access [SOLVED]
I chose to edit sandboxie.ini directly and use Ovr.Tmpl.Firefox=D:\Documents\Firefox\default2\ as I think the "Ovr" part will remind me in future why it is necessary. Thank you for the link to "Expandable Variables" which I did read, but somwhow I doubt I will remember when it happens again. Why doe...

Firefox Direct Bookmark Access [SOLVED]
I have now allowed direct access, but changes I make to bookmarks when FF is sandboxed do not change the original file (places.sqlite?). I see the template includes: OpenFilePath=firefox.exe,%Tmpl.Firefox%\bookmark* OpenFilePath=firefox.exe,%Tmpl.Firefox%\places* OpenFilePath=firefox.exe,%Tmpl.Firef...

Unable to install programs in Sandbox
screenCapture_672859_778394625_0.png This happens on most but not all programs (exe, msi) I try to install directly into a sandbox. The odd program that uses old fashioned installers seem to work. It's been going on for some time and is a nuisance as I cannot test programs anymore before normal ins...

Re: Firefox 56/57/58 sound/videos/printing not working when sandboxed
I have left well alone, ie security.sandbox.content.level remains set to 2

Firefox & security.sandbox.content.level
Is it still necessary to reduce the security.sandbox.content.level to 2 to stop various problems inc pdf printing?

A holiday seems to have done SP the world of good. All working again as of today on my PC SP plugin & AVG updated, so one presumably the cause. Let's hope it holds up

OK. It's the same on my laptop, which has independently installed AVG and no Malwarebytes. Will be a delay as I am going to be away.

Re: Sticky Password (again!) & AVG IS and Firefox
Hi Barb I've done all of that, and my sandboxes are in ram so clear every time I shut down. But I have also cleared them manually. The 4 click SP thing seems to be a load time issue. If you click once and wait a bit, I think you will find it will load, but just in case I did the multiple-click start...

Re: Sticky Password (again!) & AVG IS and Firefox
Hi Barb Hello henryg, I just finished setting up a VM with SP + FF stable 58 +AVG + Sbie 5.23.6 and I am not experiencing the same issues. I had to enable the AVG template or it would not work at all. I launched SP and Firefox in the same Sandbox and I was able to open a gmail session via SP (it did...

Re: Sticky Password (again!) & AVG IS and Firefox
Adding the Sticky Password program folder as an exception in AVG makes no difference.
