Re: Sandboxie failed to load due to Email Reader
Nothing in our updates had any effect on email, wither breaking it, or fixing a known email problem Did the email program you are using have an update? Craig, Not to my knowledge, but Opera my browser is updated often. I don`t know what Email Reader it meant. I have Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook.com on ...

Sandboxie failed to load due to Email Reader [SOLVED]
After many years with no trouble, my Sandboxie suddenly stopped loading. The message was that it could not find Email Reader under launcher.ex . I repaired the program - no change. I uninstalled and reinstalled it - no change. I eventually found :- http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=...

Re: Ubuntu OS
Try it and see if it works. Peter, Is Sandboxie compatible with Ubuntu ? Sandboxie is not compatible with Linux OS. There was a claim by Wine that would allow Sandboxie to be emulated in Linux. It does not work. As SBIE needs to install a driver and that cannot be done in Wine (much like SBIE.) I'v...

Re: Ubuntu OS
No, that won't work. If XP is my main OS, then I start as normal and the XP desktop screen appears. On this screen is an Ubuntu icon. If i click it, up comes the Ubuntu desktop screen On that screen is a Sandboxie icon, one of many, which if configured correctly allows me to open my Ubuntu browser ...

Ubuntu OS [SOLVED]
I use Windows XP Home with SP3 and always open my browser with Sandboxie.
If I the keep XP as my main OS and install Ubuntu as an alternative OS to select as required, can I then use Sandboxie with Ubuntu without having any problems?

Question
This is not some kind of jibe, it is serious technical question which i ask -
If Sandboxie`s protection is so incredibly good at preventing PC infection, then why do we need or care about the security systems of Windows and browsers ?

Re: Sandboxie panel pop-up
Simply scooping it under the carpet does not satisfy the reason for the alert. If it is an irrelevant issue, then fine, but is it ? Yabbadoo, if you like to totally get rid of the message, you ll have to uninstall Chrome. Hiding the message is fine and doesn't take anything away from SBIE. You are ...

Re: Sandboxie panel pop-up
You can choose to hide it. Thank you Craig. OK I can hide it, but my belief is that an alert means bad news. Simply scooping it under the carpet does not satisfy the reason for the alert. My problem in "hiding" it is whether it affects Sandboxie`s security envelope. If it is an irrelevant issue, th...

Re: An unjust criticism of Sandboxie
Wittmann got a bit over-enthusiastic. Big deal. That was no reason to start in with accusations of Sandboxie being rubbish followed by a lot of misinformation. Keep up the fight, Wittmann. Thanks Curt. Well, Wittmann and his Sandboxie Soapbox has attracted as of now 1,578 views and climbing, that c...

Re: An unjust criticism of Sandboxie
Bo Elam and his expertise has done more to promote the benefits of Sandboxie than most of the web articles I have read other than those emanating from the actual Sandboxie organisation. And you must realise that poor old Wittmann is fighting a lone battle, on his own with no support from any Sandbox...
