No. Windows still runs default programs. Sandboxie is simply a Folder. A container. A Sandbox. Setting default programs are handled by the OS.
You might want to look at a VM.

Re: different default programs per sandbox
You can force any program (in the paid version of SBIE) to automatically open in a SB when run.
However, Sandboxie opens the default program depending on what you have set as the default program in Windows (such as a PDF reader.)
That's handled by Windows, not SBIE.

If turning off hardware acceleration didn't work, then yes, a roll back is the only way if you want SBIE to function.

nVidia drivers update v372.54 [DirectX]
Currently, the newest nVidia drivers may not allow programs to run inside of the sandbox. The work around is to disable by turning this off for now (GPU acceleration) http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2700/~/disabling-nvidia-physx-gpu-acceleration [Then reboot] The other option is t...

Re: DirectX 9 no longer working with latest GeForce drivers
Sorry, it works for us and others in testing.
If not, it may not be related to your video card.
Your other option is to roll back the driver for confirmation.
At this time, there is no ETA for a fix on our side, maybe nVidia will issue an update in the meantime.

*Create a new SB to test.
*Start FF in Safe mode with all extensions and add ons disabled.
3rd party security / antivirus running? If so, what?

Thanks Bo. I'll update the Known Conflicts page to add 2017. Maybe, it not being there gives people false hope.

Each sandbox is independent.
While forcing the .exe is a good way of doing it, it's only for one sandbox.
You can also do select file access and other ways by looking over http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?Reso ... ssSettings

Re: Quick-disable Sandbox
All of your sandboxes reside in c:\sandboxie. So this is why it's all or nothing. The warnings and notifications are there for the majority of users that should pay attention to them and don't. Such as the pop ups for software compatibility, then complain that this and that doesn't work, because the...
