Re: Windows 10 and Sandboxie 4.20 Failure

I downloaded and installed Sandboxie 5.01.4 (Beta).

Now I don't get any error messages, but I cannot run any programs in Sandboxie.

Windows 10 and Sandboxie 4.20 Failure

I am using Sandboxie 4.20 and I just updated to Windows 10. I am no longer able to run programs in Sandboxie. I get the following error message: SBIE2331 Service start failed: [22/ 5] Access is denied. I also get a followup message box: The Sandboxie driver (SbieDrv) is not available to sandbox prog...

I received an email response from Avast! support. Their response: "Thank you for your report. Only solution is to add the application to "Trusted processes" list in Avast! Behavior Shield Settings as you mentioned. We will pass this report to our QA team. We are sorry for your inconvenience." So, it...

I reported the problem to Avast! support via their Forum.

So, what is the status of this problem?
Is the solution to permanently tweak Avast!?
Is there going to be a fix in Sandboxie?

Some more testing/info: I did the following: 1) I set Avast! Behavior Shield "ON" for all suspicious behavior including "Monitor the system for unauthorized modifications". (This is the default setting). 2) In Avast! Behavior Shield Settings I added Website-Watcher to the "Trusted processes" list. N...

Does that mean that we have to "compromise" system security when upgrading from Sandboxie 3.76 to 4.0x?

Keep in mind that lowering the system security level affects all programs, not just those running in Sandboxie.

For now, I am sticking with 3.76.

SBIE2205 Service not implemented: schtasks.exe

I am trying to install Microsoft Office 2013 in Sandboxie and I am getting the following error:
"SBIE2205 Service not implemented: schtasks.exe"

Is there a way to resolve this error?

I concur. Turning off Avast! Behavior Shield allows Website-Watcher to run in Sandboxie 4.04. I tested further by changing the settings in Avast!'s Behavior Shield. I left Behavior Shield on and turned off the "Monitor the system for unauthorized modifications" setting in the Behavior Shield. With t...

FYI. I just installed 4.04 with the same results.
4.04 does not fix the Website-Watcher problem.

I have an old computer, which runs Windows XP (32bit), with almost all third party software identical to my Windows 7 64bit.

I have no problems with the XP machine and Sandboxie 4.02. It runs WW like a charm.

For me, this eliminates the "third party" theory.

What is SRP or AppLocker?

It does work just fine with Sandboxie 3.76.

Is there some sort of debug/trace mechanism to troubleshoot this problem?

What is error (0xc0000142)?

[.01] The application was unable to start correctly

I have a problem with Sandboxie v4.02 (version 3.76 works OK).
So far I noticed it only with one program: Website-Watcher v12.0.

The error: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)."

OS: Windows 7 (64 bit).

Is there some configuration/tweek that I can change to fix this?

I just updated Comodo to version 6.0.264710.2708

Chrome now works in Sandboxie.
