Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.04 RC)

Fixes in 5.03.1 2) The print spooler (spoolsv.exe) is now permitted to write files to the system temp folder (windows\temp) and the user temp folder (\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp) How to close this security hole you just have opened? :shock: We opened these because we were getting a lot of ...

Amen to that.
I have three lifetime licenses myself but I agree that the free version should remain,
regardless of what other forms of paid versions come along. Happy New Year Invincea :D :D :D

Curt@invincea wrote: Since this can easily be blocked just by disabling the WinRM service, or via a firewall that blocks loopback traffic, I don't think it is worth spending a lot of developer time to block in 3.76.
Understood. Thanks for the prompt response.

@Curt:
Any chance you will also fix this vulnerability in v3.76
(which many folks on older systems are still using)? :)

Re: 4.09 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.09.5)

... But again, I don't know of any reason why SP 2 would not work. Is there a reason why someone would not want to install SP 3? Curt, thanks for asking. For me, there are three reasons: 1. Some of the programs I use do not work in SP3. I have tried. 2. Since using sbie, I have hardly felt the need...

Re: 4.09 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.09.5)

Given that minimum supported OS for Sandboxie is XP SP3, why have you decided against using Visual Studio 2013 ? I can confirm that sbie 4.09.05 does indeed work on XP SP2 also. I just upgraded from sbie 3.76 on XP SP2 over the top (thanks bo) and see no problems so far. When sbie 4.x was released ...

Re: beta 4.09.05 (32-bit version on XP).
Can this be installed 'over the top' of an older version without the need for a reboot.
Previous versions could be.
