A Hacker Was Moving My Cursor, But Sandboxed

At one time I saw my cursor move away when I tried to close my browser. I had slid it towards the right top corner using my touchpad, but did not quite reach it. So I lifted my finger to slide it a bit further, this time to reach and tick on the white X in the red square. But the moment I lifted my ...

The Only Time I Surfed Unsandboxed I Got Malware

Once many years ago I was not sure Windows updates would be installed if I did it semi-manually, going to the Windows update website and automatically letting Windows check for them there. (That website doesn't exist any more if I'm not mistaken.) So one time I did it "naked" (unsandboxed), fetched ...

Re: IE10 only working unsandboxed, Firefox not at all

What does IE do? Does it load up at all? I'd first create a new SB and run IE in there to see what happens.... Sorry for not having been more clear. Everything has worked fine since shortly after I started this thread. I have no problem with anything. Also, it was amjubeti to whom you replied at fi...

Re: IE10 only working unsandboxed, Firefox not at all

I just edited into my post above the name amjubeti to whom you replied. I haven't had problems with my notebook at all for quite some time now. Always surfing by default -forced- sandboxed, running my email client in it as well. Anti-virus is Emsisoft Internet Security and Malwarebytes Pro. Content ...

Re: IE10 only working unsandboxed, Firefox not at all

Thank you for your kind reply and offer to help amjubeti.* 8)

I'm currently using version 5.10 and it works works fine with IE11.

Also using Windows 8.1, as I don't like 10.

* I edited his name in before I saw your reply below.

10 Years Safe With Sandboxie

I need not add anything to the above title. It says it all. :D As for saving myself weeks of work all together over that time period after I -or some software- made a mess of things, just making a system backup now and then, and saving it on an external drive, always got my machine back in shape in ...

Re: HitmanPro Alert 3 and Sandboxie

I forgot to mention that shortly after my last above post I reported an issue to the Alert 3 team. Now and then Alert 3 would flag a website that was legit as a thread, and automatically closed my Opera 12.17 browser. I suggested they at least make an option available to override that, as I was also...

Re: How to Save Video and Audio Files While Sandboxed

Thank you. :D

In Sandbox Settings > Quick Recovery > Add Folder > I saw among the other things "Videos" and tapped on that. To check I removed that video from my laptop, downloaded it again sandboxed, and the recovery popup appeared. 8)

How to Save Video and Audio Files While Sandboxed

Hi! I've noticed a few times that I don't get the quick recovery option after downloading a video or audio file. I always get it for software downloads and Adobe Documents. Is there a way to set it so I'll also get that option for video and audio files? As an example for which today I had to go onli...

Re: HitmanPro Alert 3 and Sandboxie

PS: I just found this instruction on how to make Sandboxie and Alert 3 compatible, here, second post: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/hitmanpro-alert-support-and-discussion-thread.324841/page-264 I had already uninstalled SB, but after reading that I reinstalled. At first SB gave an error mes...

Re: HitmanPro Alert 3 and Sandboxie

@Der Moloch: Thank you too. My machines have only been infected a few times in nearly 10 years. One of them -years ago and the worst case- was when I had gone to Microsoft's Windows Updates website un-sandboxed, thinking that otherwise the updates wouldn't stick on my Windows xp laptop at that time....

Re: HitmanPro Alert 3 and Sandboxie

Thank you for your response. After nearly 10 years of utilizing SB daily by default I should be familiar with it by now. The program I'm talking about is not the well known HitmanPro scanner. I've utilized that also for a decade next to SB. This is about HitmanPro Alert 3. It also has the Hit...
