Not sure why you would want to sandbox a VM. The VM is a pretty solid form of protection in itself... Putting Sandboxie on top of it seems very redundant. What I might recommend is starting up the VM at least once without sandboxie, and taking a snapshot of the VM. The snapshot VDI will be much much...

Do you have any other security software running? I have the exact same setup as you on my laptop, and I don't have any issues. I normally use the Sandboxie menu Applications->Web Browser->Google Chrome to force Chrome to start... but I tried it by using force folders, and it worked fine for me. Have...

I agree that you shouldn't attempt to steal software or circumvent trial restrictions.. To be fair though, he did say that it was old software and that it was for a church. I was assuming its probably abandonware of some kind, as I figured a church wouldn't go out and actively commit theft... at lea...

When I did this though, I noticed activesync loaded in my system tray for some reason.. I removed Microsoft ActiveSync (4.5) and tried again with drop my rights e...

This shouldn't happen... only in cases like Buster suggested, but that is pretty rare. It should be noted though, that if you had installed the software outside the sandbox first, then there is probably registry data or other files left on the real system. When reinstalling, it would probably check...

Hi I'm using Sandboxie on Windows 7 64. Here's my problem: My church is using an older piece of software that expires every 3 months. So what I do is install from a CD using Sandboxie. When it starts, it tells me it expires in three months from today. Then in three months, I delete the sandbox and ...

I actually got this to work..
I have found that while blacklisting C:\Sadnbox\* does NOT work with SRP... It works with Applocker. I'm guessing that this is because SRP operates as a user level process, while applocker runs at kernel mode. In other words, if you have Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate, you can use gepdit.msc to make an A...

Ok, I just tested it, and now I understand what you are saying.. This program does require network access to pass the information, which is outside the realm of sandboxie... So we can close the case on this one.. ..and you were right about the file migration. It looks like when I have a large file a...

Re: Weird writing outside the sandbox behavior (sorta)
I use the torrent tracker Vuze. I leave Vuze running for long periods of time, outside the Sandbox... Now, lets say I download and recover a torrent file to My Documents. If I am in a sandboxed app and launch the file, or if I launch the torrent by using the Run Sandboxed feature, the torrent will ...

I just have acrobat and distiller are in there, but they were added by default (compatability template?).. Could Vuze be watching for .torrent executions, and simply initiating the action on its own? I'm not really sure whats happening, or if it qualifies as a bypass.. but I'm definitely going from ...

(RESOLVED)Weird writing outside the sandbox behavior
UPDATE: offending actions were performed via network communication between a sandboxed process and a non-sandboxed process. Obviously not a bypass of any kind then... ________________________________- This occurs on both XP SP3 (32 bit) and Win 7 (x64). It occurs on 3.52 (win 7) and 3.46(xp). I use ...
