If I were you I wouldn't bother and instead go with any of the dozen or so, modern, less bloated alternatives out there that support more formats.

I've got a suggestion that could work if both of you are open to it. NetflixAddict could temporarily change his credentials to his account and allow access so Tzuk could track down the problem then change it back afterwards.

The reason for the behaviour you're noticing is that you've enabled the option to immediately recover files up...

Please post a resorce access log. Unfortuneately merely disabling security software won't cut it, only a complete uniinstall insures that the conflicting kernel drivers are out of the picture. Before we get to that it would be helpful if you list what they are. Also lsiting your audio/graphics softw...

Try disabling UAC temporarily and see if it makes a difference. Also post a resource access log just in case there is anything that can be useful for diagnosis.

Check the applications compatibility profiles fro Seamonkey under your sandbox settings. As for immediate recovery, if you are using the same sandbox, then the same settings you had should still be in place.

What appears to have crashed is merely the GUI component. Even if this happens, the Driver which is the protection system runs intact. What MBAM has detected is an infection in the andbox that was backed up some time ago. Even if that happens, and you do restore, the virus will reappear in its sandb...
