Re: Sylenth1 64-bit consistently crashing

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I've just tried SB v5.01.12 64-bit on Windows 7 64-bit but the problem still exists. Regarding the dump file, I couldn't find any such file on my system. Where should I expect it to be created and what would its name be? The Sylenth1 user manual states that it "It ...

Re: Sylenth1 64-bit consistently crashing

Any chance this issue could get any attention? It's been over a year and not even one reply from a member of support... Tzuk used to reply very quickly to issues far less important than this. How disappointing! There are several other audio plugins that don't work in Sandboxie, luckily only a very f...

Re: Sylenth1 64-bit consistently crashing

OH yeah, and the only music production software that needs to be installed OUTSIDE the sandbox are drivers (sound, MIDI, iLok, etc).

Re: Sylenth1 64-bit consistently crashing

There are two ways to do this: 1) Install OUTSIDE sandbox (normal install), run sandboxed. 2) Install INSIDE sandbox (run installer sandboxed), run sandboxed. Unsupported applications won't work either way, therefore I only use method 2). I keep my Sandboxie folder on an external USB3.0 hard drive w...

Re: Working in Sandboxie v4.12, broken in v4.14

I've just reverted to SB v3.76 and every single problem I remember reporting on this forum is gone. Could this be due to increased security within Sandboxie? Or is it due to something that's not been implemented yet in v4.xx? For now I have to stick with v3.76 as it's the path of least resistance. H...

Working in Sandboxie v4.12, broken in v4.14

I previously reported in this thread that the 64-bit version of Sylenth1 was not working in Sandboxie, but the 32-bit version worked, however, as of SB v4.14, the 32-bit version of Sylenth1 has stopped working. What has changed? My system: Windows 7 64-bit, Intel Core i7 920 CPU, 12 GB RAM Thank you...

Can someone pls explain the resource access monitor output?

In the resource access monitor output, what do the following mean? (Drive) Clsid File/Key Image Ipc Pipe WinCls Are these documented anywhere? I know some are obvious but some are not, and I couldn not find any documentation: Pipe corresponds to OpenPipePath settings File corresponds to OpenFilePath...

Google Chinese Input Method please

Sandboxie provides a template for Google Japanese IME, but for a long time a template has been missing for Google Chinese IME . Would it be very difficult to add a template? There are many Chinese IMEs but as far as I know Google Pinyin IME and Sogou Pinyin IME are the most popular ones. I suspect t...

Re: # Comments in Sandboxie.ini

Incidentally, I just noticed a small error in the comments in Templates.ini, it says:

# You may place local (custom) templates in your Sandbox.ini

Shouldn't that be Sandboxie.ini ?

Please check line numbers: 2, 6, 26, 28, 58 of Templates.ini for other similar errors.

[SOLVED] '#' Comments in Sandbo# Comments in Sandboxie.ini

I am aware of the blah=comment workaround for inserting pseudo comments in Sandboxie.ini, but Templates.ini already supports comments using the '#' prefix, so wouldn't it be logical to extend this syntax to Sandboxie.ini file? # This is a comment line [DefaultBox] ConfigLevel=7 Enabled=y BoxNameTitl...

Override global section settings by sandbox section settings

I want all sandboxes to have full access to my D: partition except for my "TestBox" which should only have sandboxed read-write access. The following example works: [Box1] OpenPipePath:D:\ [Box2] OpenPipePath:D:\ [TestBox] Comment=DoNothing In reality I have quite a few sandbox and many of them have...

Re: Why does OpenIpcPath fix one thing and break another?

Thanks Curt, that makes sense. However, there's a product idea/market opportunity for you guys to consider. Yesterday I re-installed Windows on my laptop. I have hundreds of apps installed, browser plugins, etc, all tediously tweaked and configured to my liking. To redo all that work would have take...

Re: Why does OpenIpcPath fix one thing and break another?

I'll contact the developer about it. I wonder if it is possible to set up a sandbox so that only writes to C: and the registry are redirected/virtualized, allowing literally everything else to operate as if it were unsandboxed. I need this set-up for running known safe applications portably, which i...
