Re: Installs with errors and won't run

Re: Installs with errors and won't run
Yes I use an admin login but I also tried via a user account.
I don't get any error messages - just those from Sanboxie control which I posted - right click - show errors. The control icon is in its normal place but just doesn't run. I just tried cleaning the registry but no luck.

SBIE1116 -Driver Failed to register... [SOLVED]
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Avast (disabled) Sandboxie 516 Never had any real problems until now installing onto a new Windows 7 install on an Asus Zenbook. It seems to install OK but I end up with the yellow triangle and a flashing exclamation mark indicating these errors: SBIE1401 Configuration f...

Re: Trying to run Sandboxie n a Network drive
Thanks, yes a bit complicated. A single network drive accessible by our phone, computer and tablet is the future I think so I hope the developer can overcome whatever the problem is. Sandboxie is great so I'll have to go back to the old way.

Trying to run Sandboxie n a Network drive
Windows 7 SP1 I had the brilliant idea :) of connecting the USB3 drive I use for sandboxie and dropbox storage to my router USB port! The drive is picked up and I can access it from any network PC or my phone app. Great. But Sandboxie is not happy (neither is Dropbox). I get this message when I try ...

Can't access my Kodak printer settings
Sandboxie 3.4.2 on Windowsxp Kodak Easyshare 8.2 I installed another monster mess of a program - the Kodak printer program suite into a Sandbox but I can't access the Printer Settings page to access the Maintenance settings. I can access the printer settings page and I can print from inside and outs...

I can't get it to work right now with Sandboxie but I did succeed using Oracle VM Virtual Box which is a free and another brilliant program that creates a Virtual Operating system. I created a new Windows Installation inside a virtual Box and then installed iTunes into that and because it is in fact...

I tried those suggestions but still no contact with my ipod. What I did discover was that I couldn't get Msi Installer to run until I went to Sandbox Settings > Restrictions > Hardware Access and ticked the second box allowing programs to manage hardware device configuration. That was the magic box ...

itunes installation not finding ipod touch device
Anyone found a way to install iTunes (10.1.1.4) on Sandboxie 3.50? One of the main problems seems to be that it must load device drivers such as AppleMobieDeviceService. I tried loading all of them using Sandboxies DOS box (Run any program) but my ipod Touch is still not recognised. I installed it o...

Try adding in Sandbox Settings > Resource Access > File Access > Full Access \Device\NamedPipe\samr Thanks, nearly there. I used that setting but got the same error message. However, this time the program installed and ran anyway, despite the error message. But now when I try and run a virtual imag...

Wonderful software
Although there are lots of reports about this or that program not running properly (and I have posted a few myself!), all in all this program has saved me so much time and protected my system against all sorts of nasties when browsing and downloading stuff to test. And isn't it wonderful to be able ...

Localhost won't run sandboxed.
I tried to install JSAS 1.10.2 into a sandbox but the browser won't then connect to http://localhost. I tried disabling my Firewall. I already have a copy in my normal Windows folders which is fine - could settings from that one be interfering (I'm thinking that the Sandbox might be getting settings...

OK thanks. There are various uses for Sandboxie - not all of them security ones - though obviously the main use. How many trojans and viruses have been trapped by the sandbox - it's a life-saver! Another use is just to test bloatware like Adobe products that scatter all sorts of rubbish into the fil...
