Problem after updating to Waterfox 56
Is anyone else having an issue with SBIE 5.22 and Waterfox 56? Every time I try to launch Waterfox 56 in a sandbox it crashes; werfault.exe requests permission to run then the browser crashes. This was not the case in Waterfox 55, which I had to revert to. It ran perfectly. The config I use it below...

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.10)
I have been having a problem with Sandboxie 5.01.10 and the multiprotocol chat client Miranda NG. Previous beta builds had their issues, in particular weird font issues that have been corrected in this build. However, I am experiencing random crashes now. There is no warning, or no error message. Th...

With version 3.52 or later installed, you should check the following registry key -- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SbieSvc It should include a value named PreferExternalManifest. Yes, it does. Below are the contents of that key. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\se...

Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks for letting me know. I've been trying to tighten the template a little and only allow Opera to write specific file types where they need to be written. I'm having a little bit of trouble with Opera. There are areas in the profile that appear to be files with no file ty...

Application having Right Specific Rules
This, to me, is the one thing that SBIE seems to be lacking, which will correct and chink in its armor. SBIE creates rules based on specific templates. I, for example have one sandbox created for Opera, which uses the rules that were determined safe to use with it. With the template I am able to kee...

SBIE2205 - PreferExternalManifest
I have been getting the below error after installing 3.52, from 3.50. The latter did not have this issue. I searched through the forum and saw that adding "SbieCtrl_HideMessage=2205" was recommended until a fix was found, but adding the entry made no difference for me. SBIE2205 Service not implement...

I think I may have solved it I sent myself an email, exited, then started Opera again. The message was still there, as it should be. Then I deleted that email, along with the copy stored in "sent", emptied the trash, exited, and restarted opera. Neither message was there, which was the intended resu...

I'm having a little trouble finding out just what files need read/write access. Again, I don't feel comfortable using the built-in template because it gives that access to the entire profile directory. If I cannot solve it this way, what about looking at it another way; what about denying read/write...

Thank you for your help with that, I didn't know it was possible. I uses to just use the SBIE Opera template, but now I don't have to. I do need a little help with tweaking a few things though. After making the changes I notices that Opera is not aware of when I delete emails; they are still shown a...

What File Writes
I was just thinking about ideas that would make SBIE even better than it is. I came up with one. What if SBIE was able to determine what kind of filetype was able to be written in allowed directories. I have an Opera sandbox, which allows read/write access to the Opera profile directory. The only fi...

SBIE and a BSOD
Lately I've been getting BSODs, Bugcheck code: 0x3B Error: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, and I don't know why. I even completely reinstalled my system and I still keep them at random. The only thing I can think of, because I did hardware checks and everything came back fine, is that it is a service that...
