Sandboxed Windows Explorer under fully patched up to date Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1 using Sandboxie 5.11.7 seems okay to me. But I don't use it much.
What issue are you seeing?

There is a problem with Chrome Version 45.0.2454.101 m (64-bit) and SBIE V5.04 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit which doesn't occur with SBIE V4.20. When I start Chrome inside a SandBoxIE V5.04 sandbox and go to, say, Virustotal.com check Choose File, choose a file and click Open the whole browser close...

when chrome 38.0.2125.104 m (64 bit)
starts in a sandbox.

Is that the same as you?
