Bye and All the Very best

Ronen,

Like others in this forum, I am saddened to see you go
but sincerely wish you the very best for your future.

Sandboxie has become the main security application in our household
to the exclusion of all others except occasion use of MBAM and/or SAS.

Thank you

Maurice

Lost Cut & Paste from www page in Win8 (ie10)

I frequently copy and paste from SandboxIE-ed web pages into non-sandboxed applications such as MS Word. With Windows8 (32bit) running IE10 I have lost this capability via Ctrl C & Ctrl V although using Edit > Copy & Edit > Paste works sometimes, but is obviously less convenient. This loss occurred ...

Mike, Thanks for your info. If no one else gets this behaviour, then it must be something peculiar to my setup, and probably very difficult to find the cause, since my FF4beta12 is "out of the box" except for WOT. I'm now on SB 3.53.02, but I doubt the behaviour is caused by Sandboxie. Thanks for yo...

Tzuk, Thanks for response. After googling for something, I always prefer to examine an item via "Open in a new Tab". After a RtClk, the drop-down options list is difficult to obtain, and unstable. The list appears for an instant, but disappears when I move the mouse to make a selection. In this situ...

Firefox 4 beta Drop-down menus

My message should have been:

Does anyone else find that drop-down menus with FF4 beta are unstable / erratic when running in SB 3.52?
They work fine outside Sandboxie.
This didn't occur with FF 3.6.13

Running Win 7 (32bit) with only MSE as protection.

Appreciate any comments.

Suitability of SB 3.45-07 67bit Win 7

Tzuk First, sincere thanks and congratulations for magnificently efficient fix to KB979683 problem for XP users. My regular visits to this forum certainly paid off for me and saved hours of angst on my several XP Pro PCs. One is XP Pro SP3 running in a Virtual Box on 64bit Windows 7 which accesses W...

Extra info

Shana, Glad you have sorted your immediate problem, but urge you not to abandon Sandboxie - I see it as my main line of defence. I am relatively new to Macrium Reflect and was driven to use it after I found that my system for keeping backups of XP using xxClone was inapplicable for Vista. There is a...

Shana, Sorry to learn of your difficulties and I sympathise with your desire not to have to do a re-installation of Vista. Thats why I have invested some time to get an image of a Clean Vista (Macrium Reflect Freeware). Clearly, most of Sandboxie program is gone - what you have left is the folder wh...

Thanks to Tzuk

I too would like to register my thanks to TzuK. Sandboxie is one essential and indispensible part of my protection and insurance (and any other antimalware application must be compatible with SB or it is discarded). The other, is another freeware application, *xxClone, which has enabled me to always...

Update

Thought I should add that My OE6 works OK sandboxed if I disable the E-Mail Monitor in Rising Auto Protect Configuration. However, this does not seem to survive a reboot. Its all a bit academic, since I've just discovered that this so-called free version of Rising AV, has a 30-day limit before it ge...

Rising Antivirus - conflict with Sandboxie

On a test OS (XP SP3, IE8beta2, OE6) with WinPatrol 15 and Online Armor 3, I am trying out Rising Antivirus (Latest). All seems well, except that access to my mail server times out when in the default sandbox and enters a loop, such that I cannot then delete the sandbox. Disabling all of Rising Auto...

MitchE323, I keep my working files on a separate partition W: (called WORK) which includes folders for E-Mails Current (OE6 Store), Favourites, My Documents all of which are shared by various OSs in a multiboot setup and included in SB Quick Recovery. The sandbox itself is on a partition T: (TEMP) a...

MitchE323, Not quite sure what you mean by "something else". It may be that the quick recovery facility depends on SBCtrl being active when my mail client (OE6) starts in sandbox. I had been using Win Patrol to disable SBCtrl at PC startup, and just start when a forced program (IE7 or OE6) starts. T...
