That's not exactly what I expected. How long are these files are being kept and where are they stored?Sandboxie has to remember which files were deleted, and it does that by keeping those files around even after the sandboxed program deleted them

Thanks Tzuk, I will let you know if I notice any changes with future versions. At the moment I need to open another browser (or the same) again and usually after closing, the deletion then goes through for the last sandbox and any previously left sandboxes. While this is manageable, obviously I woul...

I have the following sandboxie files set as trusted in OA: -SandboxieDcomLaunch.exe -SandboxieRpcSs.exe - SbieCtrl.exe - SbieDrv.sys -SbieSvc.exe -Start.exe in addition there are two files SandboxieInstall.exe that are not trusted - however, i would assume that these were only used for the installat...

I updated to version 3.24 but the error messages still appear. I have 4 different sandboxes and usually have two active ones. I suppose this alone is not likely to be the cause of the issue, is it? Usually when I get the error message and the manual delete does not work (as is almost invariably the ...

Ok, thanks I found the folder and indeed can see the two sandboxes with their respective subfolders. Now they do not delete - neither automatically as they should nor manually, ie if I try to delete manually I am told there is nothing to delete but in my drive I can clearly see the files. After open...

Since I am still waiting for the new SB version before upgrading, can I check manually if the contents of the sandbox have indeed been deleted? How would I do that. At the moment I get the error message but when trying to delete manually, it says nothing to delete. What is the path that would store ...

No, it's the same error message about directory not empty and error 145. It does however not happen always and seems to be more likely to happen if I am running two sandboxes at the same time (one Opera and one FF). Also, it seems to have started for me only after installing OA. Re ugrading, I am re...

I am not so much surprised that secunia detects files in the sandboxie path. I was under the assumption that sandboxie will build up/transfer each required programs files to the sandbox to have these available for use and I guess that is the reason that programs always start a bit slower when using ...

The old versions do not exist on my system anymore and the sandbox is always deleted automatically when closing anyway. So whatever is shown, is not shown there because it was stored months ago. Anyway, I will try to see what happens after an update. Will I lose my config after the update or will al...

Tzuk, just to clarify - when doing the scan outside of the sandbox, the result is correct, showing everything clear except for the java version. There has been some discussion on whether the latest version .04 is stable or not and I have not yet upgraded. When doing the same test sandboxed, the resu...

Secunia Insp & old software in Sandbox?
I just ran a check with secunia inspector http://secunia.com/software_inspector/?task=load and was surprised that supposedly some software is not up to date. This relates to IE software and OE software, however the path shown is always ...Sandbox\Account\DefaultBox\drive\.... When I do the same chec...

ok, I think I overlooked one issue before. My assumption was that the keylogger would be in a sandbox. So let's start with the idea that the system is clean (and we are not talking about hardware key loggers). In that case the most likely way for a key logger to enter my system would be via the brow...
