Just wanted to add that I have this issue too on Windows 7. Lowering the Sandbox setting in Firefox as suggested in this thread solved the problem.
Does anyone have some background on the root cause of this issue?

Same issue with the same software.

The ABN Amro bank card reader plugin seems to not be called when running Chrome in Sandboxie.
Outside of it, Chrome detects the cardreader with bank card perfectly.

Sandboxie 3.58
Windows XP SP3
Chrome 14.0.835.202 m
