Tzuk recommended a small free program called Unlocker. It works great.

PS: I did let Unlocker remove everything from the sandbox it could first. It could nor remove "C:\WINDOWS\system32\cidaemon.exe" or so it seemed (*). I have a small free program called xp-AntiSpy. It lets you tweak a list of things. One is "Disable indexing service". I got a hunch and ticked it. Now it's "Sandbox is empty. There is nothing to delete." every time after I close the browser.

Thank you so much, Tzuk. Unlocker does the job I just found out.

So now I don't even have to reboot anymore to be able to have Sandboxie remove those leftovers it didn't get rid of if its box becomes too stuffed after a while.

You are right about Sandboxie having nothing to do with the e-mail links issue: un-sandboxed it also happens.

When I click "Delete content" I get "There is nothing to delete".
But when I click "Explore content" I get "DefaultBox(2)" with various things in it.
