Re: Sandboxie leaking cookies?

Guess I had my brightness a tad too high! (Actually it turned out to be messed up color settings) Moving my browser to another monitor shows the squares just fine in his pic. That's weird you notice a difference across windows versions though. I just reset to default and I can see it fine on my prim...

Re: 5.05 Beta Available (latest version 5.05.1)

Thanks for closing those paths again. I've updated and not seen any real issues so far. Had one instance where it threw an error the first time I tried to start a program but it has worked after that. If it happens again I'll make a note and pass it along here. Might've been one of those timing erro...

Re: Sandboxie leaking cookies?

I meant the control interface background looks completely white, I didn't see the standard faded yellow sandboxie squares but looks like I need to tweak my primary monitors settings! I was asking because I have experienced some 'odd behavior' in other programs (haven't tested sbiectrl) after I edite...

Re: Sandboxie leaking cookies?

Not sure what to say, are you sure the browser was sandboxed at the time? I find the entire situation odd, your screenshot shows sbie control but it doesn't have the 'usual' background - instead it's clean/white/blank. Are you using a modified sbiectrl.exe?

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.04 RC)

Fixes in 5.03.1 We opened these because we were getting a lot of support issues with PDF writers (mostly) that were trying to write to these folders. The reasoning was, that if someone uses spoolsv to write malware to one of these folders, they still have to figure out a way to execute it. If there...

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.04 RC)

I'm curious, does AllowSpoolerPrintToFile=n override the changes recently made allowing the spooler to write to the temp directory? Also does that change only allow writing to the temp directory 'inside the sandbox' or is to the real system temp dir? It sounds like the 'real' system...but figured I ...

Re: Steam and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I ran into some issues with The Witcher 3 though that seemed to be more related to my version - which wasn't Steam. It was GoG and the galaxy beta hasn't been playing well with sbie, though it appears to be galaxy issues. With my version I found renaming the galaxy.dll so it wouldn't be loaded creat...

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.02 RC)

Sandboxie has come a long way from its earliest forms where it was only meant for IE. The motto, Trust No Program, which is included in the picture on just about every page reflects this. It's one I've taken to heart and I use it for just about everything that faces the internet. Sometimes sacrifice...

Re: SBIE1308 message is not hidden

I'm not sure if that part accepts wildcards but you could try something like the ones below and see. Alternatively you could turn off the issuing of 1308 entirely for that box though if you forget about it you could run into seemingly phantom issues later down the line. :-/ SbieCtrl_HideMessage=1308...

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.12)

I haven't checked it recently but I did start a thread about noticing a difference in behavior in the 4.x builds between start/forced on Windows XP. I wouldn't discount his theory without at least testing it... http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=21069 I actually ran that test u...

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.12)

My collection of Steam games is pretty small but since the audio device issue was fixed (i'm actually still on 5.01.10 atm) I haven't encountered any new issues running them on Windows 7 x64...they now work like they did before. :-/ eg game(s) [my only one happens to be a fairly new addition (to my ...

Re: External fonts

I believe they're talking about programs which attempt to load font files that are not installed on the system but may exist only in the sandbox or a programs dir/temp dir. Unless I'm mistaken, this is working as intended though the ability to create an exemption would be nice so far the only one I'...

Re: Problem with Windows 10 and Team Fortress 2

when i set OpenWinClass=* in every sandbox i'll got errors: Ipc X $:hl2.exe - My guess would be this is the culprit. OpenIpcPath=$:hl2.exe might do the trick but even if does it's going to " create vulnerabilities within the sandbox " but I guess it's better than not being able to use it in sandbox...
