Google Chrome - To Sandbox or not?
I have read elsewhere on the web that Google Chrome has a form of light sandboxing. If this be the case, does it pay for me to sandbox Chrome with Sandboxie? Would I be overdoing it? Would this cause conflicts? I also use Firefox and IE, which I both sandbox but I am confused about sandboxing Chrome...

License Recovery System
Develop a system whereby one can recover his/her license, if lost, via using email and transaction number of the purchase receipt instead having to send Tzuk a request.
Takes the pressure off of him, and eliminates the delay in his replying.
Right now, the only system is off-line activation.

AVG Anti-Virus 2011 and SBIE2204 RPcss message in v3.48
I just installed AVG 2011 and when I started Firefox or IE8 Sandboxed, I received the SBIE2204 message. I added Sandboxie as an exclusion to AVG Real-time scanner but this did not help, and AVG was a program that was checked off in stable version 3.48 security applications for compatibilty. I downlo...

Running Forced Program temporarily outside of Sandbox
IE8 is my default web browser whenever one of my programs has a link to open. For security, I set Sandboxie to force IE to run in the sandbox, so whenever I click on the link, I am safe. However, there may be a time when I need IE8 to run temporarily out of the sandbox. I do not see any setting in S...

New Product Key vs Old
I just freshly installed Sandboxie 3.48 on my HD. The About lists the program as registered but it is unable to reactivate or obtain a new product code via the Internet. It states to send Tzuk an email, which I did. Is this the correct procedure or is there a website to plug in the old code to obtai...

Secure Deletion, Sdelete, and Sandboxie
I am using the latest version of Sandboxie and Sdelete for deletion of files in the Sandbox. If I have browsed for a long time, and then look to delete the contents of the Sandbox i.e 150 files, Sdelete takes about 3 minutes to delete these files even configured to use just 1 pass. Is there any secu...

Using SDelete takes too long
I configured SDelete to work with Sandboxie. When the manual command is invoked, the Red X remains after 10 seconds In other words, it seems that the deletion of 3 passes takes too long to erase about 20 folders or files. Is this normal behavior? When I tried Eraser, the same result. When I used Era...

Using Windows Media Player or Video Lan Player in Sandboxie
I downloaded a video file which should play inside my FF browser but all I see is a Yellow Blank screen. When I use FF without using Sandboxie, video plays fine. I am using Firefox 3.5.5, Windows Media Player 11, and running Windows XP SP3 Is there a way to configure Sandboxie to allow this action? ...

Sandboxie, Browsing, and Ad Muncher
Hi everyone: I have been using Sandboxie and was wondering if it in any way effects browsing speed? Secondly, I recently purchased and started using Ad Muncher and was wondering if Sandboxie would have any influence on an ad blocking program. I see it working but was wondering whether there is also ...

Re: Security Alert Feature for Opening/Extracting Programs
I have no problem with alerting against -- or even completely restricting -- sandboxed file activation from outside of the sandbox. I think that's a very good idea. Otoh, simple file operations (move, copy, delete) should, in my opinion, not be restricted. Optional alerts (if any) for these type op...

Re: Security Alert Feature for Opening/Extracting Programs
SBIE:
I agree with you, providing an enable/disable option for the user to receive alerts and/or disable executable programs contained within a sandbox would satisfy all needs.

Security Alert Feature for Opening/Extracting Programs
A good idea would be an option to have Sandboxie issue an alert when one attempts to open or extract a program that is contained within the sandbox. Even better, would be Sandboxie's ability to prevent the contents from being opened or extracted. Yes, the whole concept of Sandboxie is to isolate par...
