Thanks very much, Syrinx and Bo. Not only was this very helpful for my particular question, it also helps me understand much better what's going on in the background with SBIE. Much appreciated!

Re: MBARW(compatibility)
Thanks, Craig and Syrinx, for the info. Very helpful. So as a newbie to SBIE, does this mean that, for example, if I choose the SBIE settings that allow my browsers direct access to history, cookies, bookmarks, etc., that those directories would be susceptible to ransom/encryption? And the same depe...

Re: Video Corruption of add-ons in Chrome
Just thought I'd update. Turns out this isn't SBIE-related. I'm running on a ThinkPad laptop with a second screen through the DisplayPort. Turns out these add in windows get corrupted on the external display, but work fine if I drag the Chrome window over to the laptop display. Weird...stumbled upon...

Re: Forced Folders - file extension exceptions?
Craig, Thanks for your detailed reply, and I apologize for not clearly communicating my question. Some of it is that I'm trying to get up to speed on how to leverage SBIE, and I'm getting acquainted with terminology, concepts, etc. Like anything there is a learning curve, and that is certainly true ...

Re: MBARW(compatibility)
Sounds like a bit of confusion. MBAE is (as of this date) a completely different product than MBAR. Sorry, my bad for introducing the confusion. I thought the OP was speaking of Anti-Exploit. If it turns out like MBAE it's possible there may be a template needed as the original poster was wondering...

Re: Video Corruption of add-ons in Chrome
Craig, thanks very much for the reply. I'm thankful to say, for now, that the problem seems to have gone away. If it resurfaces I'll go ahead and disable all add-ons except for the ones in question and see if I can identify.
Thanks again for the prompt tech support!

Video Corruption of add-ons in Chrome
I'm experiencing regular video corruption of add-in Windows in Chrome. See the two examples below. Note that in the case of LastPass, the add-in is working, even though there's corruption. In the case of the other add-on (Tab Snooze), I believe it's working too, in the sense that it's running, but y...

Re: MBARW(compatibility)
I can confirm that MalwareBytes Anti-Exploit (MBAE) does NOT acknowledge it is protecting Sandboxed browsers. The MBAE Tray Icon will pop up a notification each time a browser is launched, indicating that it is being protected. It does not do so when a sandboxed browser is launched. This can be conf...

Re: Forced Folders - file extension exceptions?
Thank you, but perhaps I wasn't clear. Given Office 2016 won't run sandboxed at all, I want to have Office files I open from a Forced Folder NOT run sandboxed. Being more specific, I have my Downloads directory in Forced Folders. However, I want to make an exception to that rule and tell SBIE to NOT...

Re: Office cannot start or not fullfunctional
Bo and Craig, thanks very much for the reply. I will reboot and try to clear sandbox. No, I wasn't trying to install Office 2016 within SBIE...just trying to see if if would run sandboxed (it doesn't, and I saw the post that indicates you're working on compatibility for Click to Run Office running s...

Re: Chrome Tips missing on Usage Tips page
OK, thanks for the VPN tip...I'd already seen that and it didn't apply to me, but turns out the VPN problem is not SBIE-related. But my other request still stands...there are many other options for Chrome than there are for IE and FF, so I think tips, pros/cons, like you have for IE and FF would be ...

Forced Folders - file extension exceptions?
Hello, Bo gave me a tip of creating a Sandbox for my Downloads directory (so that anything that gets run that I've downloaded to that directory it will run Sandboxed. I think this is a great idea, but unless I'm missing something, it limits every type of file, including non-executables. For instance...

Re: Office cannot start or not fullfunctional
I tried to test this with the new Office 2016 (Office 365 click to run version), and no surprise it's not working. However, now I'm having a problem and I can't delete the Sandbox I made for this. Every time I try to Delete contents, I get a bunch of cmd.exe / DOS windows with a rapid succession of ...

Re: Office cannot start or not fullfunctional
UPDATE: This question answered in this post (sorry I didn't see it before posting): http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=22235 Any word on Office Compatibility, including the newest Office 2016 (also available with Office 365 subscriptions)? It sure would be nice to protect these ...
