Re: Open magnet link in existing instance of uTorrent

I got that far, thank you Nonen, however I am still curious just for the reason that it is possible with SandboxieReflector how to pass this to uTorrent and any other app really. For example .pdfs from sandboxed browser to unsandboxed Acrobat Pro or .docx from sandboxed email client to unsandboxed O...

Re: SandboxieReflector - cross-sandbox execution

Would it be possible for the people that got SandboxieReflector running successfully with an app either sandboxed in another sandbox or running outside any sandbox share some detailed information on the steps to achieve this? Even though I am at times coding away little sites as a past time I find t...

Re: Launch process outside of sandbox from inside a sandbox?

Yes, it is possible for sandboxed apps to communicate outside the sandbox . But, these apps must be written to do this. Sbie just blocks or allows communication -- it does not add any new capabilities to applications. Problem: Outlook Fails to Start in New Sandbox! Sandboxie 3.442 and Office 2010 P...

Re: Cannot run CubicExplorer Portable in sandbox

Works perfectly.

Sandbox - New Sandbox - Right Click CubicExplorer.exe and Run Sandboxed inside newly created sandbox.

No settings were touched in this newly created sandbox.

Re: Launch process outside of sandbox from inside a sandbox?

That ability is not present in Sandboxie. Sandboxed programs can only start another program sandboxed, not unsandboxed. SandboxieReflector, in the Contributed Utilities section of the forum, was intended for that purpose but I've never used it. Many thanks again for mentioning this, I will have a g...

Re: Open magnet link in existing instance of uTorrent

http://www.twologs.com/en/resources/san ... lector.asp comes to the rescue as suggested by Guest10.

I will report back on this with a little tutorial if I manage to pull off loading magnet links from inside a sandboxed web browser to a unsandboxed p2p client, e.g. uTorrent.

Re: Launch process outside of sandbox from inside a sandbox?

So for example I have Ms Office open unsandboxed, download a .doc or .pdf file in Firefox sandboxed and at the download message instead of downloading I select "open with" and MS Office, it will not let me save the file, recover it immediately and open it in the unsandboxed Ms Office? What about usi...

Re: Open magnet link in existing instance of uTorrent

I cannot get this to work. Whatever I try, Resource Access > IPC Access > Direct Access or Open Win Class or Open File Path Sandboxie always open uTorrent in a new sandboxed process. How I can make sandboxed Firefox communicate with the running process uTorrent outside the sandbox please? This is mu...

Re: Open magnet link in existing instance of uTorrent

Doing further research I think this has to do with IPC access.

Launch process outside of sandbox from inside a sandbox?

I am trying to learn how to launch a program outside a sandbox from inside a sandbox. For example I like to launch M$ Office outside the sandbox or Acrobat outside the sandbox or uTorrent outside the sandbox by downloading a .docx file or .pdf file or a magnet link inside sandboxed Firefox. When I t...

Re: Open magnet link in existing instance of uTorrent

I also tried to use this suggested solution that worked for giving full access to a file but it keeps opening uTorrent is a new sandboxed instance.

Re: Open magnet link in existing instance of uTorrent

I tried to give Full Access to uTorrent as lined out here but that also does not work.

Sandboxie will still open a new instance of uTorrent in a sandbox.

Open magnet link in existing instance of uTorrent

After following this guide on how to open magnet links with the browser I am now facing a little bit of a hiccup. I have uTorrent running already ( portable instance from the folder ), then open a magnet link with Firefox and would love this link to open in the already running instance of uTorrent{t...
