Re: Another kernel memory leak with SBIE 5.x
Thanks for posting Syrinx, as well as confirming that it's not just on XP. :) (I haven't felt like trying anything else myself, yet, as I feel like I've done enough previously debugging Sandboxie issues, haha.) I had never thought of disabling the Sandboxie plugin part of PH. (And I quit using Explo...

Re: Another kernel memory leak with SBIE 5.x
Had been waiting for the next beta, thinking that after 6 weeks now it might be fixed, but nope. Still leaking away! :( I wanted to ask before as a follow-up, but was waiting... HAS this been reproduced by the devs (< 5 mins), or Barb even?? If it takes longer to find/fix it, fine, but I'd like to k...

Re: Chromium Browsers become unsandboxed when streaming full screen
Like Bo has said, there shouldn't be anything to worry about, and nothing has become "unsandboxed."

Re: Another kernel memory leak with SBIE 5.x
Barb, Curt or others should be VERY familiar with the stuff (and me, haha) from 3 years ago.  (BTW, why don't I have a badge?!?) But, using Windows XP (haven't checked newer Windows myself): install any SBIE 5.x, enable pool tagging, run Poolmon, and run Process Hacker. Obser...

Another kernel memory leak with SBIE 5.x
Hi all! I'm back again, with another one of these threads. ;) This is another " system-wide performance killed " thing... After that previous problem was fixed in v4.14, I noticed this leak over a year ago, but didn't really try to look into it until yesterday -- argh, it turned out to be pretty sim...

Re: SandBoxIE to harden SRP (software restriction policy)?
Sorry BUCKAROO, but all I could think after seeing your post is, "My god, please make it stop!" No reason for assembly, basically ever. You just need a few lines of C. The compiler will generate much better code (usual case I mean; this simple stuff I don't see anything obvious). And I was lik...

Re: SandBoxIE to harden SRP (software restriction policy)?
My god, my god, my god. (This is about BUCKAROO's reply; I could no longer not reply.) I saw this thread back in December when I checked backed here for the first time in awhile (been doing other stuff), and was going to tell ya, catBot, don't worry, I'll have something for us to take care of this i...

Re: Memory leak(s), GALORE
Cool, that was great to hear. :D Hmm, a Critical Section HANDLE -- I never saw Handle count increasing (other than the Port ones)... But maybe that's another one of those kernel resource -type objects that doesn't show as a "regular" Handle (like Crypto's reg. notification stuff). Anyway, thanks for...

Re: Sandboxie 4.08 (SbieCtrl) leaking GDI handles and crashe
Of course I didn't report this, just confirmed for the others. :) I thought this might have been fixed, by accident if nothing else, from the other stuff you found and fixed, but nope. :? Just installed and checked -- still increasing the same in 4.13.4. I can make another VM install and see if it h...

Re: Memory leak(s), GALORE
Really?! Awesome! :D (Little later and I wouldn't have seen till tonight...) Can you tell us any more about the leak? (More than just SetWindowPos, etc.?) Did my sample program make it easier to track down? (I assume you're talking about the memory.) What about the Port handles increasing? I...

Re: Sandboxie and MS SQL Server
Yeah, from what I've heard around here before, I'd say SQL Server is probably too "complex" (for whatever reason) to successfully install in a sandbox, regardless of that other setting.

Re: Browsers do not longer start in Sandboxie
Did you recently finish installing any Windows Updates?
If you didn't just restart after installing any updates, do your problems still remain if you DO try a restart?

Re: Memory leak(s), GALORE
Can you confirm Curt...? Or anyone else? Dispute? ;) Will it be fixed in the next version? I just 1 minute anyone should be able to download the example program, Run Sandboxed, and see the memory usage grow (on XP or 7). Couldn't be simpler to check/observe; nothing else required now. I left just on...

Re: Sandboxie is now on my do not install list
Yes:    I just did the math, and that would have cost our household over 1 million US dollars in the last 2 years since buying Sandboxie!!!!!! Kidding! I actually just finished cleaning my monitor, keyboard, and desk from all the soda I spit out after reading your proposa...
