That's me trying to open a game, using steam, in a sandbox. Steam is installed right on my machine, and so is the game.

Cracking it would have been so much quicker and easier. Multiply that by all my other games... Also, I know for a fact that it's not all games that fail to start. Just most of them.

Surgeon Simulator, Sims 3 and SonicFanRemix all work fine. Everything else I've tested has failed - Skyrim, Far Cry3, Civ5, Mortal Kombat, Saints Row 3, South Park... plus all the games in OP.
