Re: Portable Firefox - Application unable to start correctly
Moving the folder is most likely only one of the ways to create an error. Same with which error is produced. You can try an experiment if you like.... Create a new sandbox with default settings - right click on the shortcut or the exe that you use for the portable program - run sandboxed - choose to...

Re: Portable Firefox - Application unable to start correctly
This seems to be an Application Path issue in the Windows registry. If you have ForceProcess=firefoxportable.exe already set and then relocate the portable folder, you get an error. If you run it unsandboxed, it seems the app resets the registry to the new file path. But if you change the location a...

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
Thanks for the link - that is a tough read. At least on this machine the problem may be on the server side - Verizon. I disabled Network List Service in services, it was running but set to manual. Not reccomending that - just experimenting. Curious that with the same router, I sometimes connect a di...

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
I ran the Sbie Resource Access Monitor on the same download attempt that one time froze and another time did not freeze. Both outputs were identical except the time that did not freeze had the additional lines below. Pipe \device\namedpipe\srvsvc Pipe O \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{4C490994-D49C-4E80-AF42-3...

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
@bjm - would you mind testing OpenWinClass=* in your Fx sandbox? I'm trying to narrow it down.

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
Sorry to hear that Nick. That was the only setting I could think of working backwards from the graphics driver. Back to the drawing board.

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
Help me grasp why OMTC disabled may help. Well remember that OMTC is only a suspect at this point. Anyway, OMTC is a layered form of rendering and involves the UI as well, particular in animations. OMTC is relatively new, so an outdated driver may not have the required technology. In my case and as...

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
I'd say about 90% of the time Chrome hangs on the first download either after a system reboot or a long period of system inactivity. After that, the frequency of hangs goes down to 50%. I have the exact same situation on a second comp. Anyway, I was refurbishing this one and still the same problem....

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
Still the same issue here. Windows 64 8.1 Firefox 43 Sbie 4.20 works fine - 5.07 downloads freeze randomly No anti malware - no security products - no Fx extensions or plugins. I can live with 4.20 just fine, and not install the problem Ms update. Just curious though that there are two Process Monit...
