OK, the Process explorer did its job. The freeze occurs when "system" decides to take over. Believe it or not, it happened (again) just as I got to the word "system" in the previous sentence! This is partly reassuring as I had feared it was a virus or trojan doing something nasty. At least I now kno...

Freezes and registry locks don't seem tightly related, in the sense that I doubt one is causing the other. But both may be caused by the same thing -- for instance by a conflicting security product. Can you think of one? Nothing obvious. I'm using Antivir for viral protection, Zonealarm Pro for fir...

(forgot to log in!) I'm currently up to date on both machines (3.3) and it's been happening reasonable consistently from the first time I installed it a few weeks back...Guest10 wrote:What version of Sandboxie are you using?
I've had this also, but not with the more recent "test" versions of sandboxie.

What's with the Sandbox Folder on my Hard Drive
I suspect this is covered somewhere but I can't find it. I'm using Sandboxie on 2 machines and both have Sandbox folders on the hard drive which appear to hold the contents of the Quick Recovery folders. Am I missing something? I thought the whole point was that, once inside the Sandbox, nothing get...

Firefox occasionally doesn't show up
I use the wording "doesn't show up" because I can't say it "doesn't start". I can see, in the Task Manager/Process Tamer that it has started. But nothing appears on my monitor. The only way I can correct it is to force it to close and then start again. The behaviour is irregular and unpredictable bu...

I've seen some rare cases where a third party security software was "curious" about the registry hive that Sandboxie introduces into the system, so it opened the hive to look into it, but then forgot to close that hive, preventing it from being ever unloaded. hmmm... wondering if that could be what...

Re: Option to Run "normally sandboxed" program OUT
I have no good suggestion about this - other than shut-down the unsandboxed browser that has started, and use copy/paste to open that web address in your sandboxed browser. Soccerfan's answer solves the problem. Now I can happily set all my browsers to run in the Sandboxie because the "Disable Forc...

Option to Run "normally sandboxed" program OUTSIDE
I've browsed the forums and can't find this point covered anywhere. Apologies if I've missed it. Here's the scenario. By default I want all my browsers to run in Sandbox. But there are times when we don't - like when we're updating plugins. So, by default, to browse the web, I just click on the sand...
