Re: Having hard time with Portable Firefox and SB
The link above (to one of my posts) showed a user how to configure portable firefox to use a profile that was in a location specified by that user. Your firefox profile is not likely to be at that same location, so in general: 1) Know the location of the folder that contains your Firefox profile fil...

Re: what is windows live?
Check your services for "Microsoft Account Sign-In Assistant" (Run > services.msc > OK) The service name is wlidsvc "Enables user sign-in through Microsoft account identity services. If this service is stopped, users will not be able to logon to the computer with their Microsoft account." That's the...

Re: 2101, 2102, 2223, 2203
The SB2102 error message you received should list a "path" to the location of the large file(s).
If the "path" listed in the message is:
C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
then maybe this thread will help:

Re: Sandboxie 5.12 installer MD5 mismatch
The MD5 hash on the All versions page, for "All ... SandboxieInstall-512.exe", does not match the downloaded file.Fengpu wrote: Has the installer been updated since, or is the value on the webpage simply wrong?
The SHA1 hash does match.

Re: Firefox slow to open with LastPass
Sandboxie's template gives OpenFilePath rights(if that's the correct terminology) to "LastPass " folder when LastPass is actually stored in "support@lastpass.com" folder. That particular folder is located in the Firefox profile folder, underneath an "extensions" sub-folder. That's not the folder th...

Re: Unable to delete contents, object in use
While Sandboxie Control's tray icon does NOT show any red dots in it, run regedit again.
Click on "Sandbox_John_DefaultBox" in the regedit window, then while only that one item is selected, click File > Unload Hive > click Yes to "unload the current key and ..."
Then Delete Contents of the sandbox.

Re: Legitimate News site cannot displayed!
If they are Flash videos, your results may vary. I have 1 Cyberfox profile and sandbox that are both on a USB hard drive - Flash works there. I copy that exact Cyberfox profile to C: drive, and create a sandbox on C: drive with the same sandbox settings as the one on the USB drive - Flash does not w...

Re: Ever since 5.14, these 30~MB cache files are being creat
Before I updated to the latest Windows Anniversary Update, some of my files in that folder were large enough to cause me File Migration issues, too. I added a Read-Only setting to my GlobalSettings section at that time and had no difficulties with it. [GlobalSettings] ... ... ... ReadFilePath=%Local...

Re: lnk in a forced folder doesn't get Sandboxed
Since v4.01 Sandboxie's "Founder" knew that the forced folders feature would not be reliable in all instances.

Re: lnk in a forced folder doesn't get Sandboxed
Since Forced Folders was first introduced, only the .exe files in the folder were intended to be forced by that setting. Any other files may or may not get forced just because they are in the folder. Especially if the program that's associated with that file type is a Microsoft program that's includ...

Re: Removing + from a local template -> Delete?
Thanks for the answer. Is there no setting to avoid this question? Only because I "disabled" a template doesn't mean that I want to remove it completely. There is a "Remove" button. If I want to get rid of a template I would use that... Not that I'm aware of. In the future, if you select not to use...

Re: Removing + from a local template -> Delete?
It's just telling you that you have a local template that's defined in sandboxie.ini, but is not being used by any sandboxes. You can tell it to remove (delete) that local template from your .ini file; or, you can choose to leave it in the file - unused by any sandbox. Don't be surprised if that que...

Additional... SB 5.13.3 would not install for me, over top of 5.13.4 It deleted the Start Group and the Startup entry for Control; started updating files in the "C:\Program Files\Sandboxie" folder; got stuck, and left me with a mis-match of versions between Control and the service. I had to ('Log Of...
