Re: Why change Sandbox Level 4 to 3/2/1/0
For a long time I have had to run the Firefox sandbox at zero so it would run in Sandboxie. Not a huge problem except it takes perhaps 2 minutes to fully open and settle down ready for browsing. If I open Firefox outside Sandboxie, it comes up in an instant. I’ve always put up with this because of t...

Re: WerFault.exe requires start access then Cannot start Sandboxed service RpcSs[SOLVED]
Yes, it works perfectly. No more WerFault.exe or Sandboxie service messages, and I can still use Bitdefender Antivirus Free. I carried out the following as you suggested. Open Sandboxie Control --> Configure --> Edit configuration Paste the following at the end of [GlobalSettings] WriteFilePath=C:\P...

Re: WerFault.exe requires start access then Cannot start Sandboxed service RpcSs
Great! I didn't relish having to find a replacement antivirus: I came to Bitdefender after incompatibilities with Kaspersky.
I really appreciate yiur kind help. Thanks so much for those links, which offer hope of a proper fix.

Re: WerFault.exe requires start access then Cannot start Sandboxed service RpcSs
Hi Barb Working through all your questions, I discovered the problem: Bitdefender Antivirus Free. Turn it off and all works as it should. There's nothing in Bitdefender's Events to explain the problem. This must have happened in a recent update of Bitdefender because I've been running it for quite a...

WerFault.exe requires start access then Cannot start Sandboxed service RpcSs[SOLVED]
I've used Sandboxie for some 15 years but recently a snag appeared. Every couple of restarts I have to use System Restore to get Sandboxie to work. Windows 10 Pro Sandboxie 5.20 (64 bit) My browser will, after using System Restore, work as it should in the sandbox, but then after a couple of restart...

Re: Multi-process Firefox 51 - Blank pages
Hi folks, I had the same issue: Upgraded Firefox to 51.0.1 (32-bit) and the pages loaded blank when using Sandboxie. As per previous workaround, changing the Firefox security.sandbox.content.level to 0 resolves the issue. For other greenhorns, to use this workaround: Type "about:config" into the Fi...

Unfortunately, it did not cure the problem. But, in getting more information for you I have found the cause . I noticed the error message popped up on some sites and not others. For example, it always appeared when I visited: independent.co.uk haaretz.com amazon.com Occasionally it did it at: bbc.co...

I don't want to give you any unnecessary work, but I can tell you that I had a problem recently trying to get the Windows Virtual Machine to install and I tried all the clean boot troubleshooting stuff and disabled everything I could in my Online Armor firewall/security software and the problem pers...

Several days and many reboots later and I have not had a recurrence of the service failing to start - and, by now, it certainly would have done so. So, in my case, deactivating the HIPS feature in the forewall, resetting the SB service to auto, rebooting and then reactivating HIPS, solved the proble...

I have been having the very same problem for 3 or 4 weeks. I suspected that the problem is related to my software firewall - Online Armor - so I uninstalled it and rebooted several times. Each time Sandboxie started up perfectly. I then reinstalled Online Armor and the first time I rebooted, the pro...

tzuk's version 3.35.24 solved my problem  Try to see if it works for you :P Thank you. I've installed 3.35.32 and it does seem to be o.k. now. Having said that, since posting the snag, I searched and came to believe that the problem (not saving bookmarks) was an Opera one and not Sandboxie's d...

Error message during installation after disabling autoplay
Recently I disabled Autorun on my Windows 2000 system to enhance security using instructions at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953252 . On installing the new 3.35.10 beta, I got an error message: Can't open registry key for writing 0x80000002 Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Auto...
