I need to make a clarification in light of paddyt's post. What has been lost is the ability to right click "run sandboxed" from the quick launch icons at the bottom left of the screen. The post that paddyt made is not an issue. My apologies as I should have been clearer. Ahh, that explains it then....

Ahh I see now, and now it makes even more sense that going "back" to 3.45.07 fixed it. Guess I don't need to remove the line since I can just keep using this version, (though nice to know where to look if it crops up again with a future version). Thanks for the quick comeback. :)

SBIE1411 Sandbox error

Updated today to the new version, 3.442, and began getting this error randomly, I assume it's something to do with Avast Antivirus 5.0.507, which I am currently running. Oddly, all the services for Avast were turned off, and was running in 'silent' mode, and nothing was actually running in the sandb...

Okay, cool then, though it's still pretty strange that that works for someone where the updated version from here didn't... Just thought I'd ask anyway, to be safe. Maybe you should get some of the others to try that bundled version from there, could be some kinda Net Voodoo making it fix the proble...

Tzuk, I'm kind of curious what that file is at that other site, it's named 'UpdateSandboxie', is it just a renamed version of the fixed version you have here? Have you looked at this so called 'update' someone else is distributing for Sandboxie to see what it actually is?

Read the first post in this thread, (it was the sticky topic right at the top of the forum you created this in heh)

The fix is there.

Re: still no solution

The problem now is, that when I first activate either the sandboxed firefox or the unsandboxed firefox things work well for about 10 minutes, and then the very, very slow keyboard and mouse action starts. I've been following this thread, and am a bit confused. Originally you stated the problem was ...

It's kinda an old thing, (probably still being written/updated, but was originally for Windows for Workgroups/Win95/98), to allow programs that don't have a way to use a proxy server to use one. I'm surprised to see it's still around, actually.

Same, just uninstalled kb979683 and bingo, Sandboxie is happy again, (as am I). I feel more secure with Sandboxie running, even with that security update removed.

Same happens here, (I don't use that feature, so never noticed), on Iron, Show in Folder does nothing, even prior to quick recovery.

Wish I'd found this years ago...

This program should be considered for anyone who wants to secure their PC in a BIG way from the current drive by installs of trojans, malware, and other nasties often installed through vulnerabilities in browsers, or their plugins and add ons, (especially Flash, Acrobat Reader, Java, among others). ...

Custom color problem, and one other observed issue

Just registered my Sandboxie last night, got everything set up the way I wanted it. Found a 'bug' I don't see listed here, and had another little issue this morning, thought I'd ask here to see if anyone's experienced the second one. 1: Very minor issue, in the current version, where you can set the...
