Sandboxie blocks RSS feeds in Outlook 2010
A change in the version of Internet Explorer that I use in Windows 7 (64-bit) has eliminated my ability to receive RSS messages in Outlook 2010 when it is sandboxed. Nothing else changed. Within minutes after completing the upgrade from IE 8 to IE 11, I ran Outlook 2010 under Sandboxie, just as I ha...

Sandboxie Version 4 not working in Vista SP2 (32-bit)
Sandboxie apparently cannot launch any executable without producing an error. The error appears whether I try to modify a desktop shortcut so that the program executes under Sandboxie, or if I try the options offered in the Sandboxie Control window using the menues: Sandbox > Default Box > Run Sandb...

Long load times for SandboxieDcomLaunch, SandboxieRpcSs
After Firefox recently released documentation showing how much time is added to the launch of the browser by the installation of various extensions, I began to consider other factors that might be involved in launch times as well. One of these is Sandboxie. I installed a trial version of a boot log ...

SOLUTION
While watching my sandbox to see what was moved into it as various programs were exercised, I noticed that index.dat had been loaded again, even though I had not used IE. Following this lead, I discovered that Outlook Express uses the file as well, apparently to load elements of HTML e-mail. I revis...

In my post about FF startup delay, i have had near the same problem (with IE8). Can you try openIPCpath=_repertories_containing_index.dat instead of openFILEpath ? Thanks for your suggestion, HappyUser. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. It looks like "near the same problem" isn't quite close en...

I specifically chose not to use the default location for Content.IE5. As I understand the OpenFilePath function, each line acts independently, and Sandboxie does not know or care that any part of the path statements on different lines have similar elements. If you don't want to help out with your o...

Both index.dat files here act as expected with openfilepaths set. Maybe the problem has to do with the two locations being different? OpenFilePath=iexplore.exe,U:\Temporary Internet Files_D\Content.IE5\index.dat OpenFilePath=iexplore.exe,D:\Documents and Settings\Jeff\Local Settings\History\History...

So the History index.dat file you want is not '\History.IE5\index.dat', but '\Content.IE5\index.dat'? You could try that line with a wild card: OpenFilePath=iexplore.exe,*\Content.IE5\index.dat although it should work the same as you have it now. Or all 'index.dat' files with OpenFilePath=iexplore....

Keeping Internet Explorer index.dat file out of Sandbox
Windows creates many index.dat files. The one in Content.IE5\index.dat is the only one of interest to me, and the only one which is being loaded into the sandbox.MitchE323 wrote:Seems ok here. Are you sure that you don't want the index.dat file in the history folder?
