Re: AVG Internet Security v17.6.3028 - URGENT HELP needed
Firefox is now extremely slow to start up (Chrome seems normal, but then I don't use it very often) but afterwards seems ok. Any idea why this would be? 45 secs until my start page loads (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news)! At first I thought it was because my sandbox was empty, but subequent starts were th...

Syrinx
Thanks, that does it. How do you know this stuff [rhetorical]!! Apologies for not searching first but I thought I had looked at the topics.
While I can't now test it, loading seems much slower although that could easily be down to AVG v17

AVG Internet Security v17.6.3028 - URGENT HELP needed [SOLVED]
AVG pushed this update on me and neither Firefox 64 bit (v56.0b8) or Chrome 64 bit (60.0.3112.113 (Official Build)) will run sandboxed; even though IE 11.5410.15063.0 runs perfectly well sandboxed . The error messages are the same for Firefox and Chrome: SBIE2101 Object name not found: , error OpenP...

Re: Sticky Password possible sandbox breach
If I give access to the database via an openfilepath, does that mean I shouldn't need the SP Template at all? Being a bit lazy here as I will try disabling it anyway; and ISTR at some point previously it worked fine without anyway.
Thanks again for the help.

Re: Sticky Password possible sandbox breach
Thanks Syrinx Unusually for me, I want the database to be accessed and updated when sandboxed, but that's only locally as I don't use the cloud to store the file. I'll play with the template a bit, but all in all I think I'll continue to rely on forcing the program to load sanboxed. If I need to run...

Re: Sticky Password possible sandbox breach
We have different views of what constitues a breach/leak or whatever you would prefer to call it, but its not something I feel should be a problem. Let's ignore the semantics. So the question now is, why does spNMHost.exe allow a sandboxed Firefox or Chrome to be able to access the main Sticky Passw...

Re: Sticky Password possible sandbox breach
I will look at the enries you refer to, but I have already given you specifics of what is happening and how, and so you should be able to reproduce it. So I have no idea what else you want. And those entries have been there for a long time (and I would not and do not have the knowledge to put them t...

Re: Sticky Password possible sandbox breach
Hi henryg, What do you mean by "leak"? What has changed when it comes to the SP behavior (exactly)? Can you please provide an example? "Leak" ie my browsers have access to a non-sandboxed program which should not be the case. Leak/breach/hole/vulnerability - you can choose whatever term you prefer....

Re: Sticky Password possible sandbox breach
Nothing happened other than the update of SP to ...127 causes a sandbox leak. I made no other changes either to SB or SP other than to update SP; the template is unchanged, I posted it just for info.
I'll pm my ini file to you.

Henry

Sticky Password possible sandbox breach [SOLVED]
After an update to SP to 8.12.0.127 and possibly to the addin today, SP suddenly works in sandboxed Firefox and Chrome even though the program is loaded outside. This is a change in behaviour as previusly SP had to be launched into the sandbox, and BEFORE I changed security.sandbox.content.level to ...

Re: Firefox (56b2) print problem
Barb Setting security.sandbox.content.level to 2 does the trick. But are there other consequenses that make this generallyunwise? Mind you, I hadn't realised how much I rely on printing to pdf until it became unavailable; so level 2 it is for now. Can you please advise here when fixed so I can switc...

Re: Firefox (56b2) print problem
Hi Barb In my case I added to sandboxie.ini OpenFilePath=C:\Users\henryg\AppData\LocalLow\Mozilla\temp-* which didn't work so I also tried OpenFilePath=C:\Users\henryg\AppData\LocalLow\Mozilla just in case, but no joy. I have some closed file paths but the are all in %Personal%" other than \Device\M...

Firefox (56b2) print problem
Printing from Firefox causes a "Print Preview Error" popup box with the message "an error occurred while printing...", and the resulting page is blank - whether printing to pdf or normal printer. NB I'm not trying to print preview but assume that is a background process. Printing in Chrome works fine.
