Re: SBIE2101 Error Dialog
FYI: I did not post my original message in the Problem Reports section because I did not think this is likely to be a problem with Sandboxie . Then again, it hasn't been established yet as to why the program crashes when it is launched in the sandbox that Sandboxie creates. I have not attempted to r...

SBIE2101 Error Dialog - NirmAuctionHouse.exe [CLOSED]
After installing a program and configuring a sandbox in which to launch and run it, Sandboxie displayed a dialog that has the following lines: SBIE2224 Sandboxed program has crashed: NirnAuctionHouse.exe [NAH_box] SBIE2101 Object name not found: \Device\Afd, error OpenFile (C0000022) access=0016019F...

Re: Does regular use of Sandboxie threaten your hard drive?
Personally, I don't delete Sandboxie sandboxes until I am preparing to make a backup of the entire system, including all of the drives on which I have anything significant. That is approximately once per week, but sometimes I make "incremental" backups between the complete ones. There's no reason to...

Re: Forced Programs
[q]Thats not the way its supposed to work. For example, if I click a link in an unsandboxed Word document, the link opens up using Firefox. I have Firefox set as my default browser. I also use the DefaultBox to Force Firefox there. When I click in the link, Firefox runs sandboxed in the DefaultBox. ...

Forced Programs
Although I have a sandbox in which I run Firefox 34.0.5, and have it configured to force Firefox to run in that sandbox any time it is launched, when a program that is not running in a sandbox launches Firefox, then Firefox is not launched in its sandbox. Is this the way that Forced Programs is supp...

Thank-you for your clarification. When you right-click on the shortcut for the game, and click Properties, you should get a window with several tabs. One of which is the Compatibility tab. If any of the settings in this tab are selected, your game runs in compatibility mode. Nothing is enabled on th...

SBIE Errors 2336 / 2335 / 1241
The problem is that your Launcher runs in compatibility mode which means Firefox also starts in compatibility mode. But that compatibility mode is not compatible with Sandboxie version 4, so you get these errors. There is some type of workaround in Sandboxie for this problem (since version 4.02), b...

Re: Acronis True Image
Having a problem with using Acronis Nonstop Backup Service and Sandboxie together. We can make it fail 10 times out of 10 when we enable Nonstop Service and we can make it pass 10 times out of 10 when we disable Nonstop. They system flashes a Blue Screen and reboots the computer, or it will turn th...

Either the documentation is incorrect, or Sandboxie is not running correctly. Perhaps I am not understanding what you are saying (my fault) but if you are thinking that Firefox should start in its own sandbox, that's not the case here according to this quote from the link you posted. In this partic...

Hi Stardance. I just installed Belarc advisor in a sandbox, immediately after installing the program, Firefox opened up with the results in the Belarc sandbox. I set up that sandbox not to delete on closing. Afterward, I removed internet access to all programs and Firefox was still able to show the...

Re: Help & FAQ : ForceProcess
.... For me, I believe, the Forced programs feature is working properly. For example, if I click on a link to a web page in an email while using my Outlook Express sandbox, Firefox will run in my OE sandbox even though Firefox is forced to another sandbox. Another example: If I am browsing using Fi...

Help & FAQ : ForceProcess
The Help and FAQ for ForceProcess http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?ForceProcess contains the following statements: Note that the ForceProcess settings only apply to programs that start unsandboxed. If a program is specifically started in a sandbox, or started by a program that is already sandboxed...

Problem with IE 10 for Win7 rundll32.exe
Hello, I am running Sandboxie 3.76 with 64-bit Windows 7 Pro SP1 fully updated ( i.e., except some optional updates). Internet Explorer v10 for Windows 7 runs in a sandbox, named "Shorebox", that I created and configured only for that purpose. When I command Windows 7 to run IE, one 64-bit iexplore....

The # sign only appear in standard title bar, IE10 doesn't use standard title area. To tell if IE10 is running sandboxed, you can navigate to Sandbox settings>Appearance, there you can enable SBIE to display a colored border around the Window when IE10 is running sandboxed or you can open Sandboxie...
