doesn't kaspersky use browser plugins that try to prevent hijacking? You might want to look into removing or at least disabling these plugins and trying that..

Well it's really just the DDE thing that is getting in your way, I think. And I may be able to figure out some way to make it work, at least for some use cases, later on. If not, perhaps I will consider this compatibility mode that you're suggesting here. In any case, it wouldn't be a small change,...

I just got a chance to read this. It sounds like the new implementation in v4 is more secure by impleneting a default deny philosophy. My concern, and I think part of the problems I've already experienced, is that I'm not always using Sandboxie as a protection against malware, or for security. Some ...

FYI, this was the same problem I was having in this thread: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=15549 I'm not sure if it helps, but on w7 x64, it functions fine without drop my rights enabled. To me, this type of problem is the most annoying. I can't simply click on an excel document and ...

Were either of you able to get this working after turning off Applocker? I cleared all applocker configs, turned off dll enforcement, did a gpupdate, restarted (twice) and I still haven't seen a change. I even went as far as to reinstall sandboxie. All to no effect. I haven't been having much luck l...

My apologies, it appears I was confused. It would seem its just one game having the issue, and this game did not even work in .08. It did however work in 3.76. My confusion came from using two different joysticks to play a specific game in .08, then using the same two joysticks unsucessfully to play...

Not sure if its relevant, but I had the same problem with the tray icon a long time ago during an upgrade. I just uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled and the problem went away... Not sure if this is the same problem, or what caused it, but maybe this will help.

Alright, I have an idea what changed to cause this. Tell me please, prior to version 4.01.10, when your joystick was working in the sandbox, did you have to enable the setting Permit programs to manage hardware device configuration for your joystick to work in the sandbox in the first place? Hi Tzu...

4.01.10 Joystick Input not detected in Sandbox

Running 4.01.10 Win7 x64. Tested with a default sandbox. Running several games and emulator programs, the joystick was not detected in the sandbox. I believe this was working in 4.01.08 (I skipped 4.01.09).

4.01.10 Windows Media Player issue

W7 x64 , 4.01.10, Windows Media Player 12. This only happens with drop my rights. When clicking on an mp3 file, I get the SBIE message: SBIE2321 Cannot manage device map: [C0000002 / 11] As with the other bug I submitted, this doesn't happen if I open up Windows Media Player first. This bug doesn't ...

4.01.10 Excel and Word crash

W7 x64 , 4.01.10, Excel 2003 & Word 2003. This only happens with drop my rights. "There wa a problem sending the command to the program" (alert window popup). The word file never opens, Word consistently crashes, and it even caused a blue screen once when I accidentally hit the button to send the cr...

For the level of security that Sandboxie provides, $40 is a very good price. Its far better than the signature subscription based models that have you spending $40 a year. I use Sandboxie daily. Its a good investment, although I've noticed some people don't quite "get it" in regards to why its useful.

Just FYI, this issue is still happening in 4.01.10.

It seems to effect any "Show in folder" option, like in utorrent or Chrome.

I've tried running it in a brand new Sandbox, with the default settings, and have had the same effect...

My Win7 x64 computer, running 4.01.08 does not have this problem.... but on that computer I've allowed direct access to the chrome profile folder The google update service still updates chrome though.... you could always just run that with chro...
