Re: Windows XP: Schutz nach dem 8.4.14

Glad to here that since SBIE will now really be the majority of my protective defense for XP not that Microsoft is no longer supporting the OS. Not sure how Heartbleed's going to pan out but my understanding is it's an issue affecting the URL side and not the user side so hopefully the myriad of web...

Re: Is sandboxie useless?

I won't directly put Chrome on my system either; did, however, put Iron Browser (Chrome without the spyware) and am quite pleased with it and Sandboxie's protecting it quite well too. Highly recommend Iron Browser. I like the Incognito feature too. :)

Easy to just open explorer, but if you are not comfortable doing it that way, just open up the Sandboxie Control panel, right-click on the sandbox of choice and click explore contents. :)

Farewell, Ronen.

Godspeed!
That's a nice tribute Sean. Hard to believe a decade's passed. I only discovered SBIE in 2007 as I recall. It's been pretty much my main line of defense since. :)

Definitely thanks for the peace of mind you give me and, based on the replies, many others tzuk. You will be missed no doubt. I know you will do well wherever you decide to put your efforts at. I trust you when you said you put your creation in good hands as well. Take care tzuk. :)

I don't browse here often enough. Appreciate you being here and all those who are with Invincia. Sandboxie's been more than just a blessing for my XP VM I have to add and tzuk's done an amazing job with his gift. :)

Congrats to you tzuk; You've done a fantastic job with Sandboxie and you will be missed. Glad to see that the old licensing scheme still stands too, especially come April 2014 when XP updates end. I've already taken steps to lock down XP; still SBIE is my ol' XP VM's main defense and it's served me ...

Another possibility is the program could be detecting MAC addresses. You can try MAC Makeup to spoof a different MAC address for each sandbox but that may not actually work since I'm not familiar enough with this program though I've used it in the past. :)

Interesting thread. I believe that sandboxes are purely isolated but the connections online are not. Not sure you could run each sandbox in it's own proxy setting to "fake" the location, but if you could, this may be the solution. :)

Maybe it's because I'm running SBIE in XP (and in a VM), but for me, the new update actually made browsing faster then the old and, when you shut IE down, the programs within you SBIE session closes much faster then the old version of Sandboxie. Other then the occasion sinc issue (as been shared on ...

SB 4.02 still works great in my XP VM tzuk.

Thanks a heap for the continued support. I know XP will be a dead OS in less then one more year. Will probably then install SBIE in my Win7 OS (haven't had too since I do everything in my XP VM). :)
