I'll spell it all out for the eventual newbie who -like me- is still in Sandboxie kindergarten: Tzuk, I followed your advice and found: "GoogleToolbarNorifier.exe" I clicked on it > chose Program settings, and checked "Stop this program if it lingers in the sandbox after other programs have ended". ...

Thanks PiCo.
Do you -or does anyone else- know what should I write in the "Program Stop > Lingering Programs" list to see if Sandboxie automatically empties it's sandbox even using the Google search bar? And should I choose "Add by name" or "Add by file"?
(I don't use Firefox, just IE.)

Going twice as fast online sandboxed clicking the IE icon:

I just discovered that clicking on the desktop IE icon gets me my sandboxed Google page twice as fast as clicking on the desktop Sandboxie icon. Clicking on the Sandboxie icon gets me ready to surf in about 14 seconds. Clicking on the IE icon in 7. Both in automatic sandbox mode. I had removed the I...

Glad to see you completely got my point, Tzuk. Good for you!

Well Lode, although I kinda understand where you are coming from, I have to disagree though. Essentially, you are complaining about Sandboxie being made even more user friendly and more options/features being added to the program. But whats wrong with that? What's wrong with that is that there come...

Come think of it, I'll stick with your latest -3.32. I am sure you'll fix the little buggers in it. And maybe it is precisely because of reported problems that you constantly work on newer versions...

"BSOD - Stop Error" report must be send un-sandbox

I am sure this is known by many already, and must have been reported before, but for those who don't know it yet: To find out after a crash what might have caused it, just before clicking on "Send" in the Error Reporting panel to have the error reported to Microsoft, click on "Disable Forced Program...

Running Chrome in Sandboxie (only possible in the less safe mode) I see no # anywhere. But the Sandboxie pictogram on my Taskbar is dotted red. So I assume Chrome is at least partially sandboxed by Sandboxie.

I guess they mean sandbox in the sense that each tab runs its own space (its own sandbox) and can't interfere with or cause crashes in other tabs (other sandboxes). Doesn't seem at all that it is an application isolation sandbox like Sandboxie. That is why I certainly would want to use Chrome in Sa...

If you get message 2212 do this:

In the Sandboxie Control panel click: Sandbox > DefaultBox > Sandbox Settings > Applications > Allow Direct Access for Outlook Express > OK.

Then follow the instructions as given above.

Thank you very much Tzuk. Now it works for me again. In my kindergarden language (for IT experts like me): Right click on tray icon > DefaultBox > Click Run Email Reader (or: Run Web Browser) > Double click on tray icon to get Sandboxie Control panel > Right click on e-mail program (or: web browser ...

Forcing Browser and Outlook Express to run sandboxed again:

In previous versions you only had to check that you always wanted to have Outlook Express and your browser automatically run sandboxed, and it worked fine for me. But in the latest version you have to do something I don't understand to enable this. For example I filled in "outlook express.exe" in th...

I don't know Kal El; I have not had the "Cannot remove registry hive" message again since I last posted here. But I decided not to bother making another account and then switch back and forth to see if that does the trick. Since the hive is in Sandboxie's sandbox, it can do no harm to my machine eve...

Thanks Happy. I use xp. The next time I'll follow your suggestion, just to try it out. I still know very little about these machines, and wonder if a parasite could be introduced and be active in a registry hive Sandboxie did not remove. Otherwise I would not mind leaving things as they are until I ...
