Does using the sandbox create a bigger volume than surfing outside of the sandbox?

How about malware, can deleted malware that is still present on the harddrive be activated?

A normal file deletion by the operating system (not including the Recycle Bin) sorry, what does that mean. Sorry, total newbie question - where does the content of the sandbox go when I delete it? I am quite surprised about the volume created during a single surfing session. So once I delete this either automatically by closing my session or by deleting the contents manually, what happens?
