Re: SB freezes during file download
Hi Barb, Thanks for your response. Do you have any Antivirus software installed? I use Windows Defender on real time. I turned it off for testing. The results were exactly the same. Do you have a website where this happens every time? This problem started about a week or so ago. Since then, I've vis...

Re: Why can't we have an exclusion list for "Drop Rights"?
. After submitting my OP, I continued experimenting with "Restrictions". I haven't had a virus since I started using SB, but I thought I should at least try some of the options instead of being lazy and using the defaults. So I added my normal internet-facing programs to the "Start/Run Access" list....

In FlagJackGuy's OP, he said: >> a technician I spoke with hinted that surfing the internet in a sandboxed browser isn't really the purpose of Sandboxie Peter2150 said: >> fire the technician Greater progress might be made if FlagJackGuy asks the technician to clarify "the purpose of Sandboxie". Evernote text and graphics not persistent
. I use Sandboxie 4.16 (64-bit) with Chrome and Win 7. If Evernote is sandboxed, I can type notes and insert graphics. Graphics are simple copy-and-paste. I don't use the Clipper feature. If I switch to another note, then back to the note that I just created, text and graphics have disappeared. Only...

Re: How to download a file containing a virus?
Thanks Bo. I downloaded the EICAR virus to a sandbox. I figured out how to scan the downloaded EICAR with KIS. The trick is to use a NON-SANDBOXED Windows Explorer. That allows the right-click context menu to be used. When I tried to use a SANDBOXED Win Explorer, the right-click option was greyed ou...

How to download a file containing a virus?
. Without SBIE, I normally use on-demand scanning for downloaded files - even although my current KIS and MBAM are "always on". Therefore, downloading a file to a sandbox will not increase my normal workload significantly. I read the virus FAQ here: http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?FAQ_Virus Is th...
