Re: Firefox 56/57 sound not working when sandboxed

I have gone through all these changes and only get success occasionally. FF57 works well outside the sandbox but once I run the browser inside the sandbox, i am getting the no sound problem and most videos are either not playing or start very sluggishly. Sometimes I am getting an error relating to s...

Re: No Internet with SB in Chrome

Mr X, no dice - still the same. I noticed earlier today at a different pc also running with SB that Chrome must have updated as I got some error message (though different). I have this from time to time, check my program folder and notice that I have a chrome.exe and a new_chrome.exe file in there. ...

No Internet with SB in Chrome [SOLVED]

Hi, I am running SB 5.06 on Win 7 with dedicated sandboxes. All browsers are running sandboxed by default .I had no problems this morning but a few hours later when running Chrome I am only getting Chrome's "Ah, Snap" error message. I have checked and using Chrome sandboxed ( any of my sandboxes) I ...

Re: Java in Sandboxie and outside

Bo, what you say makes perfect sense but unfortunately does not solve the issue. I just checked again and now I think it has only indirectly to do with Java but primarily with the tax office website. It's certainly not a sandboxie issue. Checking Java via the control program shows I am running Versi...

Java in Sandboxie and outside

Hi, I have run into a strange problem and was hoping one of the experts here may be able to clear this up. I am running a number of sandboxes, one to process banking and tax dealings. This sandbox is restricted to allow only browsers and java internet access. Java is included as one of my banks and ...

That's it - worked this morning after reboot. Did not think about testing this yesterday - thanks for the tip.

Re: Firefox and double click

Craig, sorry but I think there is a misunderstanding.

I always update FF outside SB and as usual a restart of FF was required. I just checked and it's running vers 43.0.4 with no update available.

Re: Firefox and double click

Bo, thanks. My sandboxes are set up to automatically delete upon cleasing, though I noticed that sometimes that may not happen.
I am not sure what the status was for the sandbox on this pc but it's now empty. How would I fix this now, so that a simple double click works again?

Firefox and double click [SOLVED]

Running SB 5.06 on Win 7 64 bit - after updating my Firefox to the lastest version I am having a problem opening the program. I have sb configured to automatically sandbox browsers including firefox via forced programs. Now when I doubleclick FF icon in the task bar or start bar I am getting the err...

Re: Full File Access

Guys,

thank you very much for your info. You are quite right, it's the Nvidia Driver and I did not manually do this but it came through Applications/Desktop Utilities. I assume I can leave this untouched.

Full File Access

I read in another thread about Full and Direct Access. While I am using sb for many years and have distinctive sandboxes, I have not much fiddled with the config options, so I am not really familiar with the difference between Full and Direct Access. Out of curiosity I checked my setting and under F...

Re: AVASt and sandboxie incompatibility warning?

Bo, I agree with taleblou that it is confusing. I have been using SB for many years on different systems but just installed on my laptop that happens to run avast. While it is on the compatibility page, it refers to known conflicts and if you go to that page it tells you: Problem: Sandboxie version ...

Firefox crashes when updating add-ons

I am using SB 4.14 on Win 7.64 bit and I am not saying that sb is actually causing any issues. I noticed that recently each time I update FF (of course outside the sandbox) and then try to also update the add-ons (only no-script and ABP), FF crashes. I have not found anything on the Firefox board re...

Re: sbie2214 'service bits' and sandboxiedcomlaunch.exe

Nick, yes I think you are spot on. I am using Chrome and this behaviour started after the last update (which btw happens for me with Chrome outside the sandbox automatically - creating a new chrome.exe, thus stopping chrome to work in one of my sandboxes with restrictions. I always manually delete t...
