Re: Thunderbird sandboxed
Thanks Barb. I note that the default location is %local appdata%\Thunderbird. Is this a location found by SB on my computer or is it set in stone and may not be accurate? Frankly, I'm having a problem finding this - 'local' doesn't seem to exist!

Thunderbird sandboxed
I have two computers. On one TB opens sandboxed, on the other it doesn't. AFAIK the settings are the same. Any guesses why?

Constant SBIE2314 Canceling process
What's got into Sandboxie lately? The whole time it keeps canceling its process. I use Chrome.

Taskbar browser icon [SOLVED]
In W10, how do I ensure that the Chrome icon on the taskbar will open Chrome in SB? At the moment I go to the icon on the desktop, right click and select 'open sandboxed'. But there is no such option on the taskbar icon.

Re: SBie and Mozilla
OK Thanks Bo. That seems to have solved it. Strange thing is this ony happens on my W8.1 computer, not on my W7 one. At one point I wondered whether I had some corruption because I was getting a silly start-up glitch wih Word (and still am). So I refreshed the OS and it's still doing it.

Re: SBie and Mozilla
OK, thanks for your observations. First, I feel it's a glitch with this computer (laptop) running W8.1 because my desktop on W7 doesn't have this problem. On that, FF and TB load fine each time. Second, if I try to run FF or TB outside SB on this laptop they load perfectly without trying to install ...

SBie and Mozilla
I use Firefox and Thunderbird and when I try to start either of them in SB have been getting a message which first says "FF (or TB) is installing your updates and will start in a moment". Then I get another message saying "the update has failed - make sure I don't have another copy of the program ru...

Re: Set up Thunderbird to run sandboxed
I refreshed W8.1 to see if it would change anything. This action has meant that I no longer get these messages about TB from SB and the file size is set at 275 mg - a lot less than I had it before on this computer. Also, I don't always get the Word message when I first open a document - although thi...

Re: Set up Thunderbird to run sandboxed
What I find odd is that I don't have any of this problem on my other (desktop) computer. Somehow, I feel that stopping SB from notifying me of a large file is not the same as not having a problem with the file in the frst place. It seems to have a problem with every file, although I now don't know t...

Re: Set up Thunderbird to run sandboxed
Yes, I've tried that and it works. Mind you, just because I've stopped it notifying me each time does not mean that ALL messages will be saved, I imagine. If they are bigger than the allotted size I suppose they won't get saved. So I've pumped up the size to 19GB to try to make sure that it's unlike...

How can I be sure they are? I suppose the ISP keeps them.

Re: Set up Thunderbird to run sandboxed
Doh! Now I'm finding that whever I try to read an email Sandboxie tells me it needs to have a larger file size. I've now increased it to over 1mg and it still doesn't like it. The TB installation on my other computer has never been a problem in this respect. What's going on, would you say?
