I think I was thinking of here; http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1127357&postcount=1 I was curious to monitor exactly what the installer of this virus was doing so I was clicking my way thru. Couple of interesting things caught my eye. First it disabled both taskmanager, and any registr...

Which will just rename your sandbox folder to something like __Delete_DefaultBox_01234567890 but will not delete it. This is the way to go imo. Somewhere in here Peter2150 reported a malware that used the Recycle Bin as a means to access other partitions on your drive. Maybe Pete can chime in with ...

I think that is kept in the registry. Block 123xyz.com (no www) and then registry search it.

Reinstall Sandboxie. Go to Sandboxie Control > Configure > Windows Shell Integration > "Run Sandboxed" Options. Uncheck where it says "Add Right Click action .....". Verify that the menu does not show an option to Run Sandboxed anymore. Uninstall Sandboxie.

Just can't win
I guess the entire question is the title.

If in IE, just access Internet Options from the tools menu in the toolbar ... of the sandboixed browser, and delete it from there.

But I wonder why I only see a few KB*.cat files there. Like Guest10, I have quite a few. As to the record of the updates and deleting it from the registry, Let's not forget those (me) that slipstream their updates directly into the XP setup disk. The disk I currently use is like that with updates t...

Actually I don't want you to fix it on your end. I'd like you to use RegEdit to search your registry for KB979683 You can start the search below this key: \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\ Because it's probably somewhere below it. Hopefully you can find an entry for KB979683, tell me ...

In addition to allowing cookies, check that the cookies are not set to auto delete in Internet Options. Also you have to hit the Save Preferences button at the top or bottom right area of the Google page.

I don't see anything there that would hinder two of Sandboxies' processes - there are some open paths intertwined to different drives, but they are 'open' after all, nothing is closed. hmm - will have to think on it a bit. just a by-the-way; OpenPipePath=opera.exe,F:\Some program settings\Documents ...

Opera is my default browser. Online Armor has a right click option on its icon to connect to its online web site to access reg details etc. Using this with Opera default it does not work. The only action is what I showed above. We can assume that Opera has been set as the default browser and that t...

Are you sure the Run Safer isn't working. I don't use Sandboxie's drop rights, but Run Safer on all my browsers. When Sandboxed, the Run Safer green border doesn't show up, but the privileges are indeed reduced. Good to have confirmation on that, thanx Pete. Well, something is causing this in the M...
