Re: sandboxie and battlEye service
As the service is already installed outside of sandboxie as shown in your image from services.msc the game should be able to communicate with it but you may need to use Resource Access Monitor to find and allow some things. Alternatively you could allow all communication to the service by adding an ...

Re: How to use firefox add-on's INSIDE the sandbox
Normally when I 'install' a browser I set it up with everything I want *outside of the sandbox* and offline. This involves having xpi files for the addons on hand and a few restarts and rounds on the options to ensure everything is as I want it. Afterward I re-enable sandboxie and reconnect my PC to...

Re: Sandboxie VS Deep Freeze
You know rollback software like Deep Freeze must not be used from an admin account because they are vulnerable, right? This is why I prefer Shadow Defender. You can use it on Standard or Admin account. I've tested Shadow Defender on my live system a few times using the RAM option as it sounded perf...

Re: Firefox refresh resets certificate storage out of sandbo
I'm not quite sure what you are talking about when you say 'certificate storage'. I use PaleMoon, a firefox offshoot, and it has a window called 'Certificate Manager' which I suspect you may mean here...My guess would be it depends on the options you've selected in the exclusion settings for the bro...

Re: Forced folder bug
I was able to duplicate this 'issue' on my Windows 7 x64 system and I eliminated a few possibilities. SbieSvc and the gui are not involved. That leaves Windows itself (the one I'm leaning toward) and the sbie driver. After a reboot if you cut and paste the folder before sandboxie ever runs anything ...

Re: 4.19 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.19.3) Flash excep
Using Windows 8.1 64 fully updated, Firefox 38.0.5, Flash 18,0,0,160, and Sandboxie 64 beta 14.9.3. While full screening some flash videos from different sites I receive (SBIE2224 Sandboxed program has crashed: FlashPlayerPlugin_18_0_0_160.exe). The flash exception is (0x40000015). This does not ha...

Re: sbiesvc.exe running constantly
hmm that is odd I use palemoon on Win 7 x64 with no similar issues. Maybe try disabling all your addons and see if that fixes it. If so, re-enable them one by one and keep restarting it until it happens again and find out which one is causing the issue. Otherwise it's possible some other software mi...

Re: Malwarebytes Anti Exploit
Here is the template (without all my comments like above) that should allow MBAE and Sandboxie 4.x to work together on all 32/64 versions of Vista, 7 and 8. Sandboxie 3.x is still required on XP . Take notice of the last three lines which are set to the 'default' installation directory of MBAE, if i...

Re: Windows 8.1 BSOD
Just a minor correction.... PEAuth.sys and secdrv.sys are included in windows by default. ...on my Windows 7 x64 the secdrv.sys has a timestamp of 6/10/2009 so if his is actually older on a windows 8 install....that may very well be the problem. BUT the Product Version 'does' say 4.03.086 2006/09/13...

Re: Malwarebytes Anti Exploit
Thanks for making this template btm, was not looking to criticise works great for me :) Good explanation of templates workings, has put my mind at rest. Nah I didn't think you were criticizing. I'm no expert in any Windows field though I've dabbled in a few things, other areas are greatly lacking a...

Re: Malwarebytes Anti Exploit
Hi have read post with interest. Can it be confirmed that this "template" is considered safe and will not allow any extra undesirables in or out ? Peter Edit Should say any undesirables in or out ? The use of any software compatibility template, even those included by default in the sandboxie templ...

Re: How to disable a global template for a specific sandbox?
Some sandbox settings can be overridden by adding specific entries (can't recall them all but fileroot is one one of them) however I just tested it with a TemplateReject= and it appears template management doesn't work this way. Your best bet would be to copy the template to each box you DO want it ...

Re: Saving web page in Firefox reboots my pc
Sounds like it could be some type of 255 char limit but it didn't make my pc reboot while using PaleMoon (an offshoot of FF) and SBIE. =( It's more likely something else you use is playing a part, not SBIE itself.... Can you save those paths without issue while the program is not sandboxed? If so, d...

Re: 4.19 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.19.1)
Comment was just about to be given for the sudden the lack of copying selected text in a sandboxed program and having it exposed to an unsandboxed program but this version has fixed the issues I noted. Thanks!

Re: Parent and child processes
SBIE already does this, anything started by a program which is running in a sandbox is also sandboxed. If however you mean you have trouble with specific programs being unnable to run you may want to re-check the 'Restrictions' > 'Start/Run Access' page and see if you have it set to allow only speci...
