Two Years Review
A little over two years since my first review, let me just say.. if you are thinking about grabbing this app, do it! I started with the free demo.. just to test it out, get a feel for it. Since that day, this has become the most important piece of software I have ever owned. Well... besides the actu...

Re: .NET Wrapper
Hello all, I have enjoyed using Sandboxie, and wished I had found it sooner. My usage is as an RDP replacement for running browser sessions. The US$50 it costs is simply amazing when you compare to the US$35k Microsoft wanted and US$20k Graphon GoGlobal costs to do much of our used functionality. A...

If someone knows, that'd be great. To be more specific, does it give a Serial ID for people to scan instead of your actual Computers Serial ID? If an app in the sandbox tried you read your PC serial number (whatever that is I'm not sure), then it will read the true serial. Maybe you could try runni...

I wanted to do a similar thing. At the moment I think you can only use Proxyfier for apps which are running in the same sandbox as Proxyfier.. So in other words.. Proxyfier cannot Proxyfy apps from another sandbox.. BUT.. You can run PUTTY outside of the sandbox, listening on 127.0.0.1, and then eac...

Generally speaking, insofar as downloads are concerned I prefer the Recovery approach versus the Direct/Full Access approach because the former may provide a greater level of security. If I have any suspicion about the download, I initially choose not to recover the file. While the download remains...

Yay thanks so much for the replies ^^ So say, I installed EVERYTHING outside the sandbox program as I discovered it well after the installation of everything, would I only stick to Direct access if I only want FIREFOX to be able to directly download to my normal C-Drive? Thanks, -Justin Correct. If...

Re: Web Browsers and downloading to "Work Area" Qu
Your recommendation does not limit Full File Access to just firefox.exe. Any program using that sandbox can use the Full File Access setting, since "firefox.exe" isn't specified in the "The list ... applies to:" box. Direct File Access is called for here. Guest raises one valid point (although the ...

Re: Web Browsers and downloading to "Work Area" Qu

No expert here, but I think you will need to provide more info before getting a proper answer. Info which could go a long way in helping: OS version (xp/7 32/64 bit) Sandboxie version Web browser you use to check email (Opera, firefox, chrome, ie) Compare the behavior inside the sandbox to outside t...

I am in a similar position. I have fresh installed Win 7 x64, and my first installed app was Sandboxie. My intention then was to basically install every other app or system, through Sandboxie. In the end though, it turned out to be not practical. Most apps, for a full installation will require you t...

Not much of a review, but just a few quick comments. As you can see: http://i54.tinypic.com/2lxze46.png I have a sandbox for just about everything. I started using Sandboxie as a trial version.. and whilst it was great, I just really needed the extra features of auto-start apps, and multiple simulta...

Well, when you explain it like that, it makes perfect sense.. thank you for making the time to reply.. very much appreciated. Actually, some of the 3rd party proxy apps do integrate better than I had first thought.. So I dare say it can still work out nicely. Sandboxie is the greatest app.. thank yo...
