Which Windows Update Broke Sandboxie? [CLOSED]
I'm reading on the forums that the recent Windows updates are breaking Sandboxie (and you're working to fix them). Tonight I installed 12 updates, but none of them were either the KB4056897 or KB4056894 that have been known to cause problems. Can someone tell me another number I can roll back to fix...

Re: Adobe Acrobat Read DC Crashes in Sandboxie
I should have been more clear. I added both of them to the blocked access the first time. But just to be safe, I removed the other and tried it again just now (to no avail).
Thoughts?

Re: Adobe Acrobat Read DC Crashes in Sandboxie
Hello all, Does the issue occur in a new sandbox with default settings? (with and without the Acrobat template, as suggested above) ? Do the pdf files open in IE outside Sandboxie? I have re-tested using Windows 10 x64 CU//Win 7 x64 + this link https://cdn.vizio.com/documents/e32d1/um-e32d1.pdf + I...

Re: Adobe Acrobat Read DC Crashes in Sandboxie
I've tried doing what the second link above said by adding the Sandboxie folder in Program Files to the exclusions list in Kaspersky, but that had no effect. As for the other link, it's a search of the forum bringing up 29 results for Kaspersky but nothing seems directly related to the SBIE2203 issu...

Re: Adobe Acrobat Read DC Crashes in Sandboxie
I really appreciate everyone here trying to help me trouble shoot this issue. Thanks again! I just disabled it but unfortunately it simply didn't help. It definitely seems like there is something about how the program is interacting with Acrobat within Internet Explorer. Like I said, I can leave Kas...

Re: Adobe Acrobat Read DC Crashes in Sandboxie
I went back and cleared every check box in that menu and disabled everything humanly possibly, yet it's not having any effect. I still get the error. As for the PDF, I simply Googled something randomly. I found a manual for an HDTV from the Vizio website. Here is the URL: https://cdn.vizio.com/docum...

Re: Adobe Acrobat Read DC Crashes in Sandboxie
Thanks for following up and attempting to help. Before I turn my attention to the anti-virus portion, I need to clarify a few things with Acrobat Reader first. When you say to disable privileged locations as well, what exactly do you mean? In the "Security (Enhanced)" section, I have the "Enable pro...

Re: Adobe Acrobat Read DC Crashes in Sandboxie
Hi and thanks for the info. Sorry I didn't see that thread sooner or I would have included this info before. Here is the rundown: Windows 7 64-bit Sandboxie 5.20 64-bit Acrobat Reader DC 2017.012.20095 Kasperskey Internet Security 2018 (disabled) "SBIE2203 Failed to communicate with Sandboxie Servic...

Adobe Acrobat Read DC Crashes in Sandboxie
When I try to open a PDF file from the internet using Internet Explorer while in Sandboxie, I get the SBIE2203 error message. I've updated to the latest version of Sandboxie and Acrobat Reader. This does not happen outside the sandbox. What expection or setting do I need to tweak to get this conflic...

DLL Initialization Error with Sandboxie and Outlook
I'm running Sandboxie 5.12 (64-bit) on Windows 7 using Outlook 2010. Often I'll get an initialization error. I have attached a screenshot below. I've seen others with a similar issue but have not yet been able to Google a fix. Any thoughts on the root cause and what I can tweak to correct it? Thanks...

Re: Error/Crash with IE + AVG in Windows 10
Thanks for the heads up. I'm not as familiar with the advancements they've made with Windows Defender. Does it act as just an anit-virus or a total security suite (offering firewall, AV, the whole ball of wax)? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Error/Crash with IE + AVG in Windows 10
As a lifetime subscriber to Sandboxie, I'm very disappointed I could not get this working in combination with this particular anti-virus program. I have triple checked and I have everything set up exactly as it should be but it still won't work. I really wish there was some solution. But I can't wai...

Re: Error/Crash with IE + AVG in Windows 10
Well, I tired a couple things. I used a restore point to roll back my system before the installation of either of these. I made sure IE was set as the default browser, then installed Sandboxie followed by AVG (adding the Sandboxie folder and the sandbox itself to the exclusions list). Still no chang...

Re: Error/Crash with IE + AVG in Windows 10
OK, so I checked a few of these things. I went into the Windows 10 settings menu switched the default app for internet from Edge to IE. I also added the Sandbox in the root of the C drive to the exceptions list of AVG. I also verified that latest version I'm running is 5.04 64-bit (even ran the upda...
