Thank you Guest10 for taking the time to write the recommendation. However, due to a small SSD that I use for C: I think it would be more viable if I only keep the downloaded files on D(I often just leave downloaded files as they are until I need them). I think I will end up installing Jdownloader u...

What if I also want "D:\Sandbox\JDownloader Downloads" to be sandboxed? Possible to keep it in the same sandbox, or do I need to create another for the download folder?

In case anyone else was interested, I found that it is possible to install & run 2009 version of the Windows Live Mail Client in a sandbox. I tested with: Windows Live Essentials 2009 14.0.8117.416 Downloaded from: http://www.mydigitallife.info/download-windows-live-essentials-messenger-version-2009...

Thank you for your feedback Guest10. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't some obvious setting that I am not selecting that is causing Windows Live Mail connection error. I did notice one thing from my tests & trials and that is in a normal unsandboxed installation of WLM there is a terms & agr...

I was hoping to clean install Windows Live Mail into the sandbox, so it would not have to access files and registries created by windows live mail outside of the sandbox. (I have already removed all traces of Windows Live & Windows Live Mail files in AppData and Programs that I can find.) Just to be...

Install & Run Window Live Mail inside sandbox possible?

After uninstalling Windows Live Mail from my system and reinstalling it into a sandbox, I can no longer connect to the mail server anymore(getting a Server Error: 0x8009000B). It was working just fine before I reinstalled it into a sandbox. Is it not possible to install & run Windows Live Mail in a ...

You can delete the sandbox and get rid of it and whatever changes it would normally have made to your system during an install, but allow it to do it's job in the meantime - assuming that you trust it to do whatever it wants to do, outside of the sandbox. I assume that's what you have in mind. You ...

I have one question:

If I decide to use the "Your Uninstaller" in a sandbox, how would I setup the restrictions so the program can uninstall programs in the un-sandboxed physical system?

File Access > Full > Select Drives with Programs installed

Registry Access > ?

Thanks for the helpful replies guys, and I had a chance to test out Your Uninstaller behavior in both a VM and a Physical Machine. @Guest10 After further investigation, I think you are correct about no settings/data being written to the physical machine(also checked appdata). It showed up on my star...

Great tip D1G1T@L, and using the method you mentioned Sandboxie reports that 'Your Uninstaller' is not running as part of any sandboxed program. And I actually see Your Uninstaller in the Start Menu on my system(outside the sandbox). I also noticed that Sandboxie Control main window shows nothing is...

'Your Uninstaller' Starts Outside Sandbox?

I installed the latest "Your Uninstaller" inside a sandbox, but after restarting the program after installation it appears to start outside the sandbox. There is no Sandboxie yellow borders around 'Your Uninstaller', but at the same time it also doesn't seem to be writing files to the APP DATA folde...

Thanks for taking the time to explain Tzuk, and you are definitely right about the window not associating with the pinned icon.

I found a workaround for my needs, which is just use different builds of firefox (ie waterfox, aurora).

Great work on Sandboxie and have a good one!
