Re: MS Office 2016 and Sandboxie

My default web browser is FF, not IE so I guess I'll be fire regarding sandboxing Word 2016 and I don't use Outlook at the moment. I'll try this for the weekend or sometime when I have some more free time. Thanx!

Re: MS Office 2016 and Sandboxie

Hm, the link to the PDF is broken in the forum link you provided. I saved it on my drive a long time ago.

I have paide, registered and activated Sandboxie and am running v5.16. So all I have to do is follow the PDF guide and Office 2016 should work under Sandboxie?

MS Office 2016 and Sandboxie

Hi, I will try setting Sandboxie protection over Office 2016 in Windows 10. Does that 8-page PDF guide still apply or are there any new changes to go about it? Thanx!

Re: What's next for SBIE?!

Please don't stop SANDBOXIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, Sysrinx, what you have in your signature is dark but shows the dangers of internet with naivety of teens, thumbs up for awareness. Sorry for the offtopic.

Re: Firefox and IE won't work

Just wanted to let you know, I've set up Windows 8.1 on the new PC again, all same settings and all but with a clean Sandboxie v5.16 - AND IT WORKS FLAWLESSLY! :)

Re: Firefox and IE won't work

Don't let me star on all he's done so far with all kinds of programs. But I always make Acronis or Macrium images before I let him experiment so it's no harm done. He said the crack is nonfunctional anyway as it says the program is activated but the registered-only functions don't work. Anyway, I'll...

Re: Firefox and IE won't work

OK, I just found out that my kid is messign around trying stuff as always and he installed a Sandboxie crack on the new PC. I'm against piracy, esp for small companies but I won't forbid him learning, even the crack stuff. I always use my lifetime license for my own PCs and Commercial licenses for b...

Re: Firefox and IE won't work

Hi Barb, I won't install Chrome cause I don't like it and don't want it on my PC. I've run ProcMon and saved 2 logs, one where I try starting sandboxed FF and another one where I try starting sandboxed IE. RAM is now around 65%, with the Windows Defender disabled. CPU gets over 30% when trying to st...

Re: Firefox and IE won't work

OK, I disabled Windows Defender and now RAM is about 50% at most. Bbut FF and IE still eat about 30%-35% CPU when sandboxed and they won't work (almost 30 seconds to startup, unable to search, slugish). Unsandboxed they start up and work fine. So maybe it IS a Sandboxie problem? What can I try? Barb...

Re: Firefox and IE won't work

According to the article from the link, my "browser.tabs.remote.autostart" is set to "false" in FF. The article doesn't say anything about the "browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2" though, which is set to true in FF. But changing it to "false" doesn't make a change to my PC's behaviour. Anyway, I think ...

Re: Firefox and IE won't work

No nVidia drivers, the machine only has the onboard Intel GPU. It's a fresh Windows install so no messing with group policy, srp, or applocker. @ Barb - I'm starting FF with it's homepage and IE with www.google.com, so nothing different than with my other machines. Where can I check/disable multi-pr...

Re: Firefox and IE won't work

Forgot to mention, I also run the latest Sandboxie on a Windows 10 machine at work (Commercial license), so it works on XP, 7, 8.1 and 10, 32 and 64 bit systems. I don't know what's the problem with the particular one from my last post. Any idea?

Re: Videos won't play after the latest Flash update

@Invincea/Sandboxie team - you fixed this issue completely with your latesat version of Sandboxie - v5.16. It took a while but you did it. :) I guess this is it: "Added OpenWinClass=SWFlash_PlaceHolderX to fix Flash failure to start on some videos." - can this "OpenWinClass" be a security risk? (Pro...

Re: hide [#] on task bar icons?

Open up Sandboxie control window, right click on the sandbox in question (example: DefaultBox), click on Sandbox Settings and then put a tick in the first box under Appearance menu: "Don't show Sandboxie indicator in the window title".
