There's no difference using the context menu (right-click method). In fact, it is my preferred approach opening up zip files.BoredNow wrote:Somehow I feel less secure using the 'right-click' method, but I can't explain why.
Maybe someone could explain how this is less secure ... or if there's no difference.

Can I make a sandboxed folder on my pc, and install/unzip the .exe program there and run it save? Or is this not the purpose of sandboxie? Yes, provided you don't recover anything to your real system. You may also need to deactivate your AV since it can still read inside your sandbox and interfere ...

Re: how to run a prgm in sandboxmode which needs a reboot ?

Re: Making Firefox Portable work under samdboxie...
Found a easy fix to use Sandboxie;s launch browser work with Firefox portable, simply edit the templates.ini file and replace every line that diaplays "firefox.exe" with "FirefoxPortable.exe" (don't include the quotes... This may already be a posted fix but I'm a nubbe... Not sure this is what you'...

@jackuars, I read your posts and wondered if you understood that if you have an antivirus program installed on your system, it will scan your sandbox(es). In that regard, your AV will treat your sandbox folders like any other folder. I agree with Buster's and bo.elam's responses. I've got some apps ...

Keep in mind that your AV may also reach into the sandbox, extract any malware, and put it in quarantine. Mine* does that and I've never had any issues. But, if you don't want your AV to do that, then you should be able to configure your AV to ignore scanning your sandbox(es). You can read more abou...
