Though I do wish that somehow SBIE could be ported to 64 bit, I'm still using Sandboxie in a VM (XP) and won't browse without it. It's really (and programs like it, or the inconvenience of setting up a Sandbox manuall via a VM and an OS like Ubuntu) the only way to keep from getting infected by viru...

I'm running Win7 64-bit now. I used VirtualBox and created several clients for it (Win98, WinXP, and Ubuntu Linux). I run Sandboxie in my WinXP client which I also have Snapshots to revert to a known good state if I really want to experiment. I was hoping that Sandboxie would eventually get ported t...

I'm doing just that since I've upgraded to Win7 Pro (XP Modes sucks and is my only complaint with Win7). I have to have my Sandboxie and runs quite well in Virtualbox XP (now I'm doublely protected in case my VM get's hosed, I just press the recover from Snapshot). Happy I am that I've updated my sy...

Saw this on Betanews and tried to do a Check for update via the menu but it didn't find it, so I manually downloaded the program and it installed without a hitch. Not really sure what issues are fixed or better with the new version (haven't read the change log yet), but it works and that's good enou...

Rightclick on the Sandbox and then click Delete contents option. Then try to delete the Sandbox itself. :)

Waking this post because I really got a dramatic increase in speed after doing what this post said to do. Basically IE8 handles security a little different then IE7 and that banned passive blocks (like what Spybot S&D does when Immunizing) can (well does) cause extreme (and I mean extreme) delays in...

Posted this earlier; I too had issues with Windows updates, but I actually replaced my user profile which you really don't want to do. Try solution below and see if that helps. :)

I've been using OpenDNS for over a year now and they've, for the past few weeks, been touting that they will do real-time blocking of this potential menace. Still won't do without the extra assurance that Sandboxie provides. A Sandbox should always be the first defense against mal-ware and haven't f...

Sometimes a link within a webpage just causes the browser to to to that page; that's not the problem. Sometimes a link on a website launches another IE window. That's the problem. Still sort of a problem in that the first time you do so on that page, it still has a delay (did not see if that is stil...

Sometimes an embedded link causes an external IE window to launch. When this happens, the new IE window takes an extraordinary amount of time to launch. Even though I did not notice this huge delay while running without SBIE, I read this artical and tried it and now it seams to have solved the long ...

Extremely long delay when IE8 launches new window from link.

A few days ago, I installed IE8 (had a few issues that I resolved by replacing my user Profile). After fixing most issues with my PC, the one that isn't going away is a long delay after a URL link forces launce of external IE window. Running IE8 without Sandboxie doesn't exhibit this issue. I know I...
