Re: Sandboxie can't open Google Chrome after upgrading Bitdefender 2017 to 2018 [SOLVED]

If anyone sees this, this is required in the global configuration: ClosedFilePath=*BitDefender*actuf*.dll Also, its the advanced threat defense that is causing an issue. This can be turned off. I've also made exceptions in the settings of Advanced Threat Defense for all of the executables in C:\prog...

Re: Antivirus/Anti-malware|SBIE v5+[working/not][Updated 8/2]

Hello nicknomo, You can either disable BitDefender, or add "WriteFilePath=C:Program Files\Bitdefender Antivirus Free\*" to your Global configuration in Sandboxie. Open Sandboxie Control --> Configure --> Edit configuration Paste the following at the end of [GlobalSettings] WriteFilePath=C:\Program ...

5.20 RC1 on windows 10 1703 - Bitdefender free seems to have an issue with sandboxie. Everything in the sandbox crashes unless I turn off protection. Unfortunately Bitdefender free has no settings to tweak.

Win 10 x64 Sandboxie Beta 5.11.10 Chrome 50.0.2661.102 m Click to run Office 2013 I have an issue with Outlook freezing in the Sandbox (intermittent), so I occasionally right click the sandboxie icon and disable forced programs. Re: Anti-Virus|SBIE v5+ (working/not) (Updated 11/23)

Win 10 x64, with chrome and Bitdefender free - it is no longer working (SbieDcomLaunch crashes).

It *was* working, but after a restart, I am having trouble again.

Yes, BitDefender was moved to the "not supported" column for now a while back. We noticed issues as well.

Re: Office 2013 H&B not running on Windows 10

I'm more upset with Microsoft and their crappy click to run implementation. I've learned click to run doesn't let you deploy group policy either. Microsoft has really let things go down hill.

Re: Office 2013 H&B not running on Windows 10

It seems as if all media for Office 2013 H&B is click to run. Only office professional has the legacy installer.... Well this sucks.

Office 2013 H&B not running on Windows 10

SBIE version 5.06
Fresh installation of Windows 10
EMET 5.2
Office 2013 H&B (installed from ISO)

The process just seems to just end without ever starting. Any ideas?

Re: Sandboxie now unusable?

A while ago I made the suggestion for Sandboxie to run in a file / registry virtualization mode only, without most of the other protections. I used Sandboxie for a ton of other things prior to version 4... and it was very useful. The alternative is to use a full fledged virtual machine, but this is ...

Re: Latest chrome crashes

I'm getting the same exact error. I'm on Chrome 37.0.2062.103 m, Sandboxie 64-bit 4.12, Win 7 x64 SP1. I'm also using EMET and bitdefender free. I disabled the real time protection of bitdefender, and unchecked all application options for chrome in EMET... but that had no effect. The no--sandbox fla...

Re: Sandboxie Isolation Demonstration: Cryptoplocker

There are only three things I can think of... 1) There was an Immediate recovery box, in which the user could have accidentally recovered a single file... 2) All of the other files were in his profile folder. Sandboxie has two sandbox folders, one for the user and one for the drive. The public user ...

Do you have any reason to believe that something escaped the sandbox? I uploaded the file to virus total, and the file is some sort of malicious trojan... but considering sanboxie's record, its highly unlikely there would be any type of breakout. The most important thing, however, would be that you ...

Well, if I understand you correctly, it would sound like Sandboxie is working as intended. The sandbox virtualizes writes to your file system. If something is wiping the sandbox, then it would potentially wipe data on parts of your drive if it ran unsandboxed. The fact that nothing outside the sandb...
