It probably makes no difference, but it's not my default printer, I select it manually from within the sandboxed Firefox when I need it. My default printer is a physical printer.

you have to have the program installed unsandboxed, which allows the driver (key component here) to be installed and loaded outside the sandbox. There is no driver loaded before the print operation, which differentiates it from pdfFactory etc. As the driver/program is loaded by a sandboxed applicat...

I can confirm the vulnerability using PDF reDirect and I consider it a very serious issue. A malicious attacker could use the same way PDF reDirect uses to bypass sandboxie. I think the problem is that Sandboxie is unable to notice that PDF reDirect is being launched from a sandboxed application, w...

Print in the normal way from sandboxed Firefox, choosing a pdf printer rather than a physical printer.

I bought PDF Redirect as it offers some features I like, and that works well.

MitchE323 wrote:Henry, have you ruled out a conflict with those programs and Firefox3 by trying it in an UNsandboxed Fx3? Since it is ok in IE, it may not be Sandboxie.
First thing I tried. There is little doubt it is Firefox related, but even so...

That makes sense, but all I know is that it messes up both eXpertPDF and pdfFactory when I print to pdf from a sandboxed application, so I assumed that it should be trapped. OTOH printing to a physical printer is ok.

Easiest solution appears to be to use PDF Redirect 2, which just saves the file outside the sandbox :o . Obviously not so good from a general security viewpoint - Tzuk, please note. In case I was not clear, PDF Redirect breaks the sandbox, saving a pdf from a sandboxed app. outside the sandbo...

I would try to add OpenPipePath=\Device\Mailslot\VSPDFDRV* to your SBIE configuration file, or use the GUI: Resource Access -> File Acces -> Full Access Unfortunately didn't do the trick. I can't seem to make eXpertPdf work at all now, and pdfFactory only works from IE7 itself, not an IE tab. That'...

Firefox3 print to pdf problems

I use two pdf printing programs, eXpertPdf4 and a very old version of pdfFactory (1.64). I can print to either, sandboxed, from IE7 or from an IE tab within Foxpro, but printing from a 'native' Firefox page brings up errors. Here's what the Resource Access Monitor shows for eXpertPdf (the error mess...

Try Resource Access Monitor, maybe it will show any resources that need to be excluded for your trackpad. http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?ResourceAccessMonitor Here it is, doesn't show much, and what it shows means nothing to me: Clsid ------------------------------- Ipc ------------------------...

As the trackpad works fine with IE/MAxthon, what should I look for to see why it doesn't with Firefox?

Trackpad problem with Firefox3

Normally I scroll an internet browser window on my laptop by sliding my finger down the right-hand edge of the trackpad. But while this works with IE/Maxthon in a sandbox, with Firefox3 it only works outside a sandbox.
