Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files

I solved my problem with Firefox crashing after downloading files. After some experimentation with updating drivers I could not fix the problem. I finally fixed it by enabling windows DEP (Data Execution Prevention) for all programs and services. By default Windows only enables DEP for windows progr...

Re: Printing problem after 1320 - printer stuck (Bullzip)

I use the Bullzip pdfprinter mostly to print with from webpages within my browser (firefox, cyberfox). Re: Immediate recovery problem firefox

Re: Immediate recovery problem firefox

When the Recovery window opens it shows that the latest downloaded file will be saved with (1) appended to the file name. I do not get that choice because the recovery window does not open after the download, that's the problem. I have firefox configured to always ask where to save files. Preferenc...

Re: Immediate recovery problem firefox

I wanted to do this test, because there's another post in the forum about the same problem. In that post, it's claimed that having a "-" in the name of a .zip file causes the problem. Sorry, but I can't duplicate your problem on Win 8.1. The Immediate Recovery window opens for both downloads, and I...

Bertus, Do you have any download manager installed? Have you tried to disable all your Firefox extensions and plugins? Will it occur in any zip links? Could you provide a download link for the zip file? How about using IE? Try also to create a new sandbox with copy settings set to none. Thanks rplj...

The problem is not that the shockwave plugin craches. The problem is that firefox "thinks" the shockwave plugin has crashed and issues a plugin unresponsive message. If the shockwave plugin was the problem then it would still crash even after disabling the crach protection in firefox. I have the cra...
