Re: Chrome starts before SB services

Sandboxed processes are sandboxed before they start. It sounds like Chrome is hanging for a few seconds (for some reason) on your friend's machine right after it loads. I would investigate the Chrome extensions that are installed.

Re: Will Sandboxie Still Work with the Windows Kernel Overhaul?

According to the articles I have read, this fix for Windows 10 went into the Fast Ring in Nov. & Dec. There have been no problems detected with Sbie thus far.

Are the files which constitute the current version of Sandboxie included in the downloaded SandboxieInstaller executable?

Re: 5.23 Beta Available

Beta 5.23.2 has been released.

The Sbie source code had a major overhaul to build under Visual Studio 2015. We need beta testers to give it a thorough workout.

This breaks compatibility with Windows XP. So, 5.22 will be the last Sbie version that supports XP.

Re: Bluescreens since Version 5.18

MS driver verifier will not work with Sbie. Have you recently updated your video driver?

Re: IDM somehow breaks sandbox..Security issue?

IDM installs a service that runs in your host to monitor for downloads coming from browsers. The service intercepts downloads coming from sandboxed browsers the same way it does from host browsers. Nothing is escaping or breaking the sandbox.

Re: Chrome suddenly not working in Sandbox

At this time, unless Curt figures out something better, the only fix is to NOT update to creators for a while or hope Curt figures out how to fix Microsoft's problem. Otherwise, create a new Windows user id and move on. It would appear the Microsoft agrees with you: https://betanews.com/2017/04/25/...
