Re: Support for a 16-bit Windows program

I've had an old dictionary program on my old Windows XP PC. When I got the new Windows 7 x64 PC it wouldn't run on it anymore. If you'd like to use that particular program sandboxed I'd sugest you to install Windows 3.1 in the DOSBox and try installing it there. I have that same setup on my PC (base...

Re: Access to IE passwords

I see, thank you. So what gets saved in the Credentials' vault? IE passwords, Windows programs' passwords, what else? Firefox passwords, Chrome passwords etc. can not be saved in the Credentials' vault?

So, could we say that only the MS programs save credentials there?

Re: Access to IE passwords

I'm gonna steal this thread just for a bit of offtopic, excuse me.

Which passwords/credentials get saved in the Credential Manager (or, better said, it's vault)?

Only from IE or Firefox too? I think Firefox credentials (passwords...) get saved i the FF profile folder?

Thank you!

Re: Clipboard

Thank you for the info, Craig. True, I remember some problems with Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V sometime around Sandboxie v4.06 (or so, not sure about the version). A friend told me, that he read somewhere, that Sandboxie could be exploited via the clipboard, but he wasn't able to prove it with the link to the art...

Clipboard

Hello,

this would be a question for Curt, I think.

Since Sandboxie allows clipboard (example: data from a sandboxed notepad can be copied and pasted into an unsandboxed notepad), does that mean that malware can exploit the clipboard vulnerability? Is this possible?

Thank you.

Re: Firefox and double click

Running SB 5.06 on Win 7 64 bit - after updating my Firefox to the lastest version I am having a problem opening the program. I have sb configured to automatically sandbox browsers including firefox via forced programs. Now when I doubleclick FF icon in the task bar or start bar I am getting the er...

Re: Firefox Tab issue - No Text displayed in Tabs (Win10)

I tried the option #1 and it did not solve the problem. I changed the setting to true outside of the sandbox, otherwise it would get undone after Sandboxie would delete the sandbox.

Re: Firefox Tab issue - No Text displayed in Tabs (Win10)

The solution is related to the problem I wrote about here, right?

I will try it as soon as I have some free time on my hands. Thanx!

Re: New computer and Registration Key

I'm a long-time user of Sandboxie and purchased a Personal License back on 6/20/2008 and another Personal License on 10/13/2011. I bought the second one just because I like the program so much and wanted to support Ronen Tzur in his efforts to sustain it. I still have the receipts for the licenses....

Re: Anti-Virus|SBIE v5+ (working/not) (Updated 12/14)

Well, here it's seriously messed up. But, as I said, only if I run Firefox sandboxed. If anyone is up for trying to reproduce it: Windows 10 x64 Professional, Sandboxie (paid) 5.06 x64, Firefox 43.0.1 x64.

Re: Anti-Virus|SBIE v5+ (working/not) (Updated 11/23)

I see a problem with Firefox though: - fresh install of Windows 10 Pro x64 - Firefox x64 v42.0 - Sandboxie v5.06 Tabs in Firefox disappear (graphic glitches) and quite often full pages or parts of pages disappear. It seems that some graphical glitches are going on. On Windows 7 x64, FF x86 42.0 and...

Thank you Bo and Craig. I have to use MS Office though, it's a standard here.

Re: Anti-Virus|SBIE v5+ (working/not) (Updated 11/23)

Please report if you'll see graphic glitches too. I ended up going back to the 32bit. I did see some issues and it was because the flash player(as opposed to flash) doesn't support 64 bit browsers. Also I didn't really see any gain. Pete Thank you for your comment. I don't see any real gain either.

Re: MS Outlook 2016 - Sandboxie guide

Thank you Bo, it's good to see that you're still around. :) I've been ultra-busy with my new job so sadly I can't hang around as much anymore... I'll do what you suggested but I won't force Word, Excel etc. to always run sandboxed, that would slow things down too much, I use them frequently and need...
